Oh D&D players live all over the world, and with the current Euro/Dollar exchange rate the DI isn´t actually that expensive I would pay about 1/2 per month of what I used to pay for the print dragon.
Well they are currently looking into the Paypal option, I have no experience with it, but it should be no major obstacle.
The Paypal issue, unless changed, has no age verification so that is least likely to be added first as another payment option.
Perhaps they will even look into Cash cards, though that might depend on how common "children" have them. As I posted otherwhere, a Credit Card holder is inferred to be at least 18, though I do know that some younger can get a credit card (It does not appear to be very common, and most of them are a joint account with an an "Adult"), one point to stress perhaps if very few "children" have the cash card.

Hmm, perhaps five years ago I read a chat session where one teen said weekly allowance was 100 USD per week (of course the person might not have been a teen and could be overstating allowance), because it was not the first time I monitored that chat site it sounded perhaps true. *shrugs*
While I do not believe a major discussion of legal issues should occur here. Two that Digital River might be facing.
Underage exposure to improper material for their legal age. They and WotC could be sued from corrupting "children".
Minors have the right to revoke most contracts at anytime, with few exceptions. This would require Digital River to refund all payments less actual costs. WotC has already indicated they have no intention of any cash refunds to be paid.
The Cash Card I infer is very similar to what in the US is called a Debit card. That the money already is on deposit in a bank or other financial institution. That the card just allows the seller to make a direct demand on your bank.
Thus why if a Cash Card is mostly held by adults, just like credit cards, that is the best route to push for first.
What they decide and clearly more are watching, or at least replying now, will depend on what they read here. They do know they lost some sales because of the current pay setup. What they read and what they see internally might effect payment policy, however likely legal and accountants would be consulted about risk assessment.

You know, my temper has cooled down a bit, the stuff in dragon this months doesn´t look all that usefull to me (Gladiators ....
like I need help with that), so I guess I can wait a bit longer. But unless they have some awesome realmslore for next month, or good crunch (the Swordmage article errata threat is still tough on me especially since most things weren´t corrected ) So yeah, they should try really hard to fix the problem until the players see that they can live without it and ..... I hesitate to actually mention it, but in less than 4 weeks Wraith of the Lich king will come out.... and well I and many others will have a subscribtion that takes our money (I pay via the telephone bill :D ).If it´s indeed that easy for minor to get out of contracts, I could actually understand Wotc a bit, but as long as you add a "yes I am 18 clause" to the contract it should be possible - but lets the lawyers decide that one (they were soooo quick with the GSL
