It's not nearly as expansive or intricate as DDI's Character Visualizer is supposed to be, but it's available and DDI is not.

You're **** out of luck if you're looking to create a dragonborn or a 4E tiefling (though 3E tieflings are available), but you can do just about everything else. The game itself is a fun play through too. |

Taken the Aurora Engine and make it less PC driven and more turn based to allow for the tabletop feel with full graphics.
I used NWN 1 to run some AD&D games. People even behaved and didn't do thiings out of turn.
This would have been a MUCH better route for DDI CV, CB, GT, etc.
Not to mention the NWN tilesets and hackpaks look much better than the DDI ones. |

Thats a really great idea. Considering you could even use those for the current VTTs by taking an overhead screenshot and photoshopping out the ground. I own NWN2 so its perfect for me. You could also use Oblivion, Morrowind, Sims 2 or anything that has mods and a visual character generator.
I'm going to search to see if theres any programs out there that are similar. |

| #5straythJun 17, 2008 0:31:09 | There's also herobuilder isn't there? I don't know, I draw my own characters. There are few fringe benefits to being a freelance illustrator, and this is one of them. |
| #6nehushtanMay 29, 2009 16:25:13 | Why don't they just use the DDO character gen? |

I love NWN and NWN2. Someone with good programing may be able to do a hak pack for it to put in dragonborn or tieflings. |

hmm, I wonder how much of the Character Visualizer was actually finished before they stopped working on it... i personally would like to have it even if it only has the 1st round of books in it!! |
| #9tyrskaldDec 22, 2009 7:44:10 | Does anyone know whether they will ever RESTART work on the Character Visualizer? I realize they want to be able to put out content and supplemental books regularly, but it seems like the Visualizer is a pretty important part of the whole, not to mention they TOLD us we would have one two years ago.
