There are however a few apps that use the less-than-supported Compendium API: - Sylloge allows to check pretty much any entry, but the interface isnt the best. - KMonster is an excellent app (and free) for monster only searches. |

Actually the compendium has always worked fairly well on iOS. The issue seems to be with android browsers themselves. At the table I sit, I have an iPhone 4 and most of the other players have Droid variants. Up until recently (when some genius turned on mobile redirects for the compendium which leads to a broken page), I could use the compendium just fine on my phone browser whereas it wouldn't load correctly on the android browser. |

Not the phone browsers fault, actually. The Wizards server is redirecting all calls from what it identifies as mobile browsers to a broken server. |

They only started redirecting mobile browsers recently. Before that all of us could pull up the compendium in our mobile browsers (and log in), but the android browsers wouldn't display the search results and details whereas the ios one did (albeit not exactly super speedy over 3G . |
| #6pruanoMay 09, 2011 14:49:55 | The problem has been (mostly) fixed, and im now able to use the Compendium on both a 3.8'' mobile (android 2.1) and on a 10.1'' tablet (android 3.0). There are still problems with the redirection after manual validation of the account, which redirects to an invalid page; going back to the compendium page and resubmitting a request (at which point the browser already has a valid login) will work. Curiously, they seem to use a challenge authentication system, since using an automated process (login and password stored), which sends the credentials upon demand, does not trigger such redirection error. |
