| #1shidara1Jun 16, 2009 17:00:30 | One of my players has a great backstory for his Eladrin Warlord involving the Drow - specifically, an unnamed Drow general. I'd love to work this in somehow I have yet to read through all of the adventures published so far, so I don't know if there are any really good places to substitute Drow for other monsters in the latter adventures. So far, I'm thinking I may replace the Gnolls in DotD with a renegade detachment of Drow from a Drow Army led by none other than this General, who has learned of teh Githyanki plat and seeks to curry favor with them in the hopes of carving out a fiefdom in the new Githyanki regime. Hopefully, this general can play the Count Rugan (the six-fingered man) to my Eladrin warlord's Inigo Montoya, perhaps slipping away at the last moment to fight again another day. Any suggestions on appropriate places to insert Drow would be welcome. Also, I seek opinions - should I save the ultimate showdown between these two for the Epic Tier, or would it be better as a "mid-season" climax? Shidara |

Note that they've only published up through about half the Paragon Tier adventures, so no one has any idea yet what's going to happen in Epic. Good places thus far for a major recurring character would be in place of Zithiruun, the Githyanki general at the end of the Heroic Tier (though you'd have to come up with a reason why Githyanki are being led by a Drow, and you'd also have to have him escape instead of die, and be on the lookout for future quests to bring him back in), or in place of Sarshan, the Shadar-kai weapons dealer who is an ongoing foe from the very first quest up through the beginning of the Paragon tier. Since Drow are not part of Scales of War, you could even declare that Drow come from the Shadowfell in this world. I strongly advise that you go and read through the quests, or at least the wiki that people have been working on: http://scales-of-war.pbworks.com/ |
