| #1five_solaJan 07, 2009 8:13:42 | Greetings :-) I have a question to the 'powers that be' at WotC concerning the Character builder. Any word with a release of more than levels 1-3 will be released to the DDI subscribers? I will be running a game in a local convention and need to create multiple level 8 characters. I can do this manually but it would be a tremondous help to be able to make use of the builder. The con is in mid march. Thanks for any info / news you can offer. |
| #2MockJan 07, 2009 8:15:36 | Greetings :-) WotC has said that they'll have the final version out sometime in January. Nothing more specific than that. |

Nothing more specific than that. this is where you got it wrong. they said "release early next year", then followed by "release very early next year" followed by "we might release a beta with the full 30 levels sometime in january" sadly, what i thought about wotcs software quality and specially about their programmers, everything held true. it's like sending a rabbit to hunt wolves. |

| #5five_solaJan 07, 2009 8:47:00 | Soon is good. As it is now I don't see much use to renew my membership to DDI when it is up. A full working character creator would definately cause me to lean towards keeping it. :-) Being the sole GM for my group I tend to keep a copy of every ones character sheets for the inevitable (I forgot my char at home, I lost my sheet, or Oh crap i spilled all the mountain dew on the sheet. ) reprints are easier that way :-) |

| #8MockJan 07, 2009 10:51:16 | this is where you got it wrong. Fine, go ahead and be all precise if you want ;). My subscription expires in a week, so unless it hits before then, for me it's irrelevant. |
