| #1mlegerOct 24, 2011 14:42:25 | Im looking at purchasing a Tablet PC and want to know which ones are able to run this app. Has anyone had any success of running this right off of the tablet? (not any kind of RDP app) |
| #2kenjoonOct 25, 2011 7:41:20 | Im looking at purchasing a Tablet PC and want to know which ones are able to run this app. I think the answer to this is none as there are none currently that are capable of running silverlight. |
| #3paolomOct 25, 2011 18:13:42 | Im looking at purchasing a Tablet PC and want to know which ones are able to run this app. Any Tablet PC running Windows (like the old Toshibas, Fujitsu and the new Acer, Asus and MotionComp) will run the DDi Tools. The tools will not run on the iPad and Android tablets. |

The license fee for development is minimal, we got one here at work just to look at, and the current database is already in place. With minimal effort, it could duplicate the Silverlight version easily. |

| #8old_dogNov 09, 2011 21:29:05 | Any Windows tablet should run the DDI Silverlight applications. Windows phone Mango OS uses Silverlight as a base and adds XNA for 3d elements. They should be able to run the DDI Silverlight applications, although I have not tried them on my Mango testing system. |
| #9IxidorRSNov 09, 2011 21:56:52 | They should switch the CB to HTML5. More devices will support it in the long run, which means more happy DDi customers. I think if they did do an iOS CB APP (which I'd rather like, honestly) they'd have to charge so that it could have a reasonable ROI. |
| #10RedSiegfriedNov 11, 2011 0:04:22 | I can't quote the discussion, but I do remember reading here that tablet/mobile device support IS something WoTC wanted to do. Whether that will ever happen, who knows. I'd really love to see it, though. And if D&D continues for the next 40 years, I'm sure it will and sooner rather than later. As for switching platforms, be patient. I'm sure it will happen when the time is right. SL works fine for now. |
