| #1thewayfarerApr 01, 2011 12:47:01 | I don't want to be "that guy" but am I the only one that finds visiting the D&D website on April Fool's a complete waste of time? I'm sure the staff enjoys it much more than I. |
| #2JhariiApr 01, 2011 12:50:48 | That depends. What purpose were you visiting it for today? Were you disappointed that the same front page and related pages were not immediately present as they have been this entire year? Personally, I am more frustrated that there has not been much of note on those pages all year. At least now I know they have a pulse. |
| #3frothsofApr 01, 2011 13:08:15 | i liked it, then again i have a sense of humor |
| #4Kalex_the_OmenApr 01, 2011 13:11:20 | It's a tradition from before the days of a D&D web presence. I for one enjoy it, though I haven't had much of a chance to puruse it this year. |
| #5obrynApr 01, 2011 13:28:03 | am I the only one that finds visiting the D&D website on April Fool's a complete waste of time? I am confused as to when visiting a gaming site is anything other than a waste of time, on April Fools or otherwise. ![]() -O |

| #7thewayfarerApr 01, 2011 13:43:32 | I suppose there is a silver lining this year. At the end of the Twin Strike article it says they will be bringing back the Dragon and Dungeon compilations. Finally. |
| #8QuestorTellocApr 01, 2011 14:44:40 | I don't know about anybody else, but I actually want a Bag of Stupid Pet Tricks! it would be AWESOME!! |
| #9robertread3Apr 01, 2011 17:31:51 | i would be sad if there was no april fools day stuff |

| #12obrynApr 01, 2011 18:41:35 | I suppose there is a silver lining this year. At the end of the Twin Strike article it says they will be bringing back the Dragon and Dungeon compilations. Finally. The irony is, he made an april fool's gag in a thread where he's complaining about april fool's gags. -O |
| #13koldoonApr 01, 2011 19:56:00 | to his credit, he got me... I went to look. |
| #14Plaguescarred1Apr 01, 2011 20:16:45 | Twin Strikes got me for a second Good joke guys. ![]() |
| #15B_A_FeltonApr 01, 2011 20:33:00 | I've been reading Dragon and Dungeon since around 1993 or so, and one of the highlights of the year for me was always the April Fools issue. TSR/Wizards pretty much saved all their gag articles and put them into one issue. And some of the articles had me rolling. I for one hope the tradition never goes away. We gamers take ourselves waaay too seriously at times, and it's good to laugh at ourselves once in awhile. |
| #16egg_thallid_sandwichApr 04, 2011 13:48:07 | i appreiciate a good laugh and i certainly got one but doesn't it seem like going too far when the only articles we have to look forward to this month are gags? why should i have to be an insider to view gag articles anyway? slaads and battle toads are these articles even real? is there a class compendium continuing what they started with the warlord, doesn't look like it... |

It's not the actual table of contents. The fake ToC is the gag, and does not actually reflect the content we will receive this month. |
| #18drnickApr 04, 2011 13:52:06 | Yeah I don't get the hate at all. Then again, I don't "get" a lot of stuff I read on these boards. |
| #19JhariiApr 04, 2011 14:21:15 | Yeah I don't get the hate at all. You are powerless against the abyss. You must return to it. |

You would have hated Dragon #96 then. I had to walk about a mile to the local hobby shop to purchase it. Paid $3.00 of my hard earned cash for it (the going rate in 1985), only to find out much of the issue was one April Fool's gag after another. I loved it! Wish I still had my copy of that magazine, it was great!! Also that was back in the day when Dragon covered other TSR games like Marvel Super Heroes, Star Frontiers and others. They also covered other companies games, because Dragon was an industry magazine, not just a mouthpiece for TSR. Now I'm waxing nostalgic. I miss the good old days. People were certainly less whiny. |
