So likely this month's update will come on the 19th, due to WotC's claim that it will be immediately updated with the Heroes of Shadow material. This includes:
Classes - Vampire, Blackguard, Binder and Executioner
Builds - Gloom Pact Hexblade, Death Domain Warpriest, Necromancy and Nethermancy Mages
Powers - new Warlock, Cleric and Wizard
Races - Shade and Vryloka, updated Revenant
Feats - Several "sections" of feats, and Ki Focus and Holy Symbol Expertise
Other - PPs and EDs among others.

In addition, Dragon 396 should be added, including:
Classes - Heirophant Druids and Bards of Wolfstone
Races - Genasi of Athas
Items - Beast of Talgora items

There will also probably be many fixes (albeit fewer than the previous month hopefully).

Some speculation that the Ability Scores and Marshal will be added from Dragon 397 are likely untrue.

Any additions?

I would hope that the ability scores make it this time.

I hate to agree with Darkness on this one but there's like an 85 - 95% chance he's right.

But Trevor guaranteed that the CB would update the same day that the new book would be released. I am sure he wouldn't lie.

I do hope they manage to get the Eladrin Knight into CB correctly in April, since it was published in the Jan Dragon, do people think I am being overly optimistic in thinking they can manage to get the data from January into the CB correctly.

Words to live by.

I would also like to see the Eladrin Knight in the CB.

Any additions?

- The old 4Ed Pc sheet format back, hate both Essentials and Character Builder format

- The stupid A4 bug fixed!!!

Has been known since November, announced as being fixed in the last update, later postponed.

And since we are talking about printing, that the size of the file sent to the printer wont be 300MB+ (a user reported a 1GB job).

The old CB had none of those problems.

He wouldn't lie.  But he might mislead unintentionally, or say something true at one point that becomes false later.

I'll believe him if and only if it's happened.  There's a serious track record of awful performance to overcome.

Invader, are you saying that based on your experience what Trevor said can't be trusted to be true or accurate?

He's been wrong about release dates several times, not to mention several other misleading statements (whether intentional or otherwise) about content and services.  So no, I don't particularly trust what he says about things until they happen.

I'll be very happy if I'm proved wrong.  But it wouldn't remotely surprise me if I'm not.

That is a fallacy.  If something did happen, you would be disappointed that something happened other than nothing.

How about fixing the MC power swap issues in CB?  I'm really patient but month after month there's no joy on this one.

But yet we get Vampires.  Wonderful.

I'm beginning to suspect this issue is revealing some sort of major underlying issue with the way the CB interacts with Silverlight and it will take a lot more than debugging to make it work, it may require a major reworking of certain basic functions in the CB, which will have its own fallout.  The alternative would be to wait for MS to change Silverlight and they don't do that on demand.

My evidence?  None, really, except that if it were simple to fix they would have done it by now.

I really hope I'm wrong.

Any more news on specifics on tomorrow's anticipated update?  I'd love to find out in advance but hey, if WoTC isn't 100% sure what's going to be in it they're probably better off just releasing the update and then releasing a change list instead of giving people ammo to claim they lied about something.  Here's crossing my fingers hoping my pet issue, the MC power swap, gets fixed.

Yeah they seem to be keeping tightlipped about included features aside from the Heroes of Shadow inclusion. Despite my comments earlier in this thread, I'm becoming hopeful.

I've gotta agree with Dr. Nick on this one... I switched from doubtful to hopeful when Trevor said last week that they'd make it.

I really hope they nail it on time today, I've been dying to see the Essentials Assassin in the CB for months now.

That's not accurate. You are not expecting "nothing" to absolutely happen, you are expecting that nothing gets done and therefore when something does get done its just a bonus...

Excellent.  I like being wrong.

When I tried to fix up my Paladin who had the Adept Power swap it still showed the same problem where the swapped power would disappear from the character sheet and not show that the old power was replaced if I pressed Save.  However, I rebuilt the character from scratch and now it seems to work perfectly every time.  Nice.

This, however, has not, but did not affect me personally.

I just tested this.  I printed just the first page and was told it was 31.5MB.  When I printed all 6 pages I got 153MB.  I don't have anything else to compare it to at the moment.  Default print settings, full color.  I'll also note that powers seem to be sorted by usage.  I don't know if this is true for all characters, but the Thief I printed had all at-wills, then encounters, and finally items.  I'm pretty sure they were not sorted like this when I printed 2 weeks ago for my game.

I wouldn't be so positive about that lokiare.  There are a lot of graphics in those character sheets and even if you print to PDF those images won't suddenly become smaller.  Maybe later today I'll print pages 2 and/or 3 since those are mostly plain text and see what it says.
