That would be the intelligent way to operate, yes.

Even if it meant pushing the release dates of the books back, they wouldn't have to tell us that's how they were doing it.

Just: Boom, on day X, you get it in your paid subscription and you get the book.

No, I don't think that. There are lots of other things that go into the updates other then new material. Corrections and tweaks to the software.

The publication of book can come early. If they update when a book comes out, that may mean stuff that would be ready at the normal update schedule but not ready when the book comes out.

So, they do an update for the book. Now they are left with the choice of do another update a week or so later, or waiting over a month.

Doing two updates so close to each other? A waste of time, really. Meaning having to do all the same work to get the update ready.

So, having to wait a week or so for a book to hit the CB? It's cool.

Perhaps if they had the resources available to do an update twice a month, 2nd Thursday for Dragon, 4th Thursday for Books.

Given the number of bugs in the buglist that are still being fixed, I'm content to wait for now.

If/when that buglist is nearly eradicated - then I could be convinced to lobby for more frequent updates.

Agreed. I'm only paying $5 a month for the CB and can see/use all the powers from the Arcane Power book. As a player or DM I really dont need to purchase the book. $5 is a pitifully small price to pay a month for some of the content we're seeing.

Of course I do hope most people purchase the books as well.
