Are clipped pdfs of comic books really all we can expect for Eye on Dark Sun?

I get excited for DS content. Can we have a little loving in the DS setting that doesn't amount to an advertisement for a comic book (yes, I know there was an article this month for DS, im happy about tha t really)?  if we must have an ad, either dont label it eye on dark sun in the calender or preview or ad some content to go with the preview such as a scenario, some items, a monster, talk about a region that the story takes place within.  There has to be a way to address the issue that serves multiple purposes and a broader part of the community.  I think this would be a neat way to link the comics to the game as well.  I don't think I would ever get the comic myself, but this also could draw more readers to the comic if there is a related bit of fluff or crunch for the game that inspires them to see how it plays a part in the story of the comic.

//I edited this because I realized my first comment was both erroneous and came off stronger than I meant it to.

I'm going to give WotC the benefit of the doubt here, and assume that the Dark Sun comic preview posted today isn't the 'Eye on Dark Sun' article for January - based on the fact it is labelled as News and doesn't make any mention of being a Dungeon article.

Still, though... come on, WotC, you can do better. You really shouldn't be having January content filling the first week in February.

According to WotC Steve here:  community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...

Eye on Dark Sun won't be out until Monday, putting January's articles into the 2nd week of February.

Yeah, seems I jumped the gun due to a change-up in the schedule.
I am interested to see what athasian genasi might be like though.  Would be neat if this is their turn at getting variable states.  please please please.

Today's article was pretty cool. We have 3 more articles in Dungeon and the genasi article in Dragon... that's a really solid amount of Dark Sun content! Fantastic!

But no map?!  Does this mean I have to get out my old 2E stuff and see if there's a map in one of those?

I consider any day that I pull out my AD&D DS stuff to be a good day...

You can see a map here, middle of second row. Not a whole lot there. With the city being rebuilt, it may not have been so important. I mean, sure, I do love me a good map, but it isn't a huge deal.

On one hand, I enjoy the love that Dark Sun is getting.

On the other, I feel depressed that Eberron's (still) D&D's red-headed step child.

Hopefully in the future article snafus like the Preview/Eye on Dark Sun being confused won't happen.
