Are ever going to be more Adventure Tools?

I note there are still four blank buttons in the Adventure Tools. At the moment we only have a Monster Builder

Are we going to see an Encounter Builder, Adventure Builder, Campaign Builder, World Builder or whatever they were going to be?

I could really do with and Encounter Builder, save me having to copy stuff into a spreadsheet.

Note: The solution to this problem is not to remove the blank buttons and rename the Adventure Tools, Monster Builder, then pretend you never planned anything else.

They say there is more in the works, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I know. It's almost comical. But hey, he has the right to start a thread. The thing is, when I see this, it just reinforces to me, the view that while WoTC can put information out there, that doesn't mean people get it, and not from lack of trying by WoTC, or any company, just that's how things are.

Cause yeah, just looking at this forum, there are plenty of threads about this very same subject, right at the top.

It's just the way people are.

Clearly a tiny tiny minority thats why there are so few threads on the subject.

I can't tell if you are being serious or not.

There are certainly quite a few threads regularly started asking this question, not to mention it beinging brought up in other threads a lot.

I apologize for the rudeness of some of the other posters here on the DDi forums.  I understand that sometimes it is easier to get a response by posting a thread than trying to search through post after post of information and I can respect that.  As Dane has said, you're perfectly in your rights to do so, but I think it is a shame that people are ridiculed for it.  So, once again, I apologize on their behalf.

Now, to try and answer your question... As of now there hasn't been anything that has been released in regards to any additional tools or information about additional tools associated with DDi, including anything that fills in the bubbles on the Adventure Tools base screen.  Recently we have been assured by two WotC employees here in the DDi section that "something" is being worked on, but we have been given no hints as to what this "something" is or any clues as to a release date for "something".

As of now, the only tools available are the Monster Builder and the Character Builder (not counting the bonus tools).

I'm sorry, but you're not going to get a better answer than this.

To quote what WOTC staff have offically said: "soon"

More explicitly, not only soon but that the September update is moved back to the 21st (or whenever) which is 'soon'.  The optimist in me reads that as being the biggest hint they're willing to give for the release date of the next app, the pessimist in me says it was just a bad attempt at humour!

Sadly I think the Soon and push back are connected, but i also think the push back may be connected to Essentials being supported in the CB, and not a new tool. I would dearly love to be surprised come September 21st and find something like "Encounter Builder!" or "Dungeon Mapper".

ANYTHING that helps me make more game then what we currently have.

If we don't get a new tool soon, my satisfaction with DDi will begin to erode.

The realist in me reads the change in release date as meaning Changes for Dark Sun+Changes for Essentials+lots of people away during GenCon=Huge work load and they need a couple of extra weeks to have it all in place.

I would hope the soon is, as they soon and not sssoooooonnnn.
Essentials is almost a relaunch of the game which would be a good time to give us some new tools, or even 1 new tool.
I hate to say it but I agree with Nyarlathotep the delay is probably due to the realease of Dark Sun and Essentials, gen con and I would also add over the summer possible vacation time.

Hope I'm wrong though

Heh. If they're going to remove random posts, I wish they'd at least alert you as to why...
