| #1fiendish_dire_weaselJan 05, 2009 10:01:13 | Not sure if this is the right place for this, but... Strength Paladins are currently the worst supported basic class type as far as powers go and Divine Power is many months away. Would it be possible to get a Class Acts to fill in a few Strength-based powers for Paladins, especially on those levels where there is little to no choices available for them? |
| #2CinnibarJan 05, 2009 10:01:53 | Not a bad request. Clerics could use some propping up as well. We've seen support articles for Wizards and Warlocks already... Clerics and Paladins would round out the lot. Clerics are somewhat limited at present. |
| #3sutroJan 06, 2009 9:21:58 | I agree. It seemed really strange to me that most of the material that's come out so far has been supporting martial powers, with very little/nothing for divine when divine's all the way out to the middle of 09. -Sutro |

| #5fiendish_dire_weaselJan 12, 2009 21:38:56 | Possibly they will step up support further when Divine Power comes out? This is kind of the point. A Dragon article with 5-8 powers would fix 90% of the problem without having to wait 9 months. |
| #6EnaloindirJan 13, 2009 1:13:11 | I second/third/... the request for a Class Acts article for both Paladins and Clerics, even if it would have just one extra at-will for each build (Str/Wis for Clerics and Str/Cha for Paladins). My human cleric would appreciate it enormously... :D - Enaloindir |
| #7The_JesterJan 13, 2009 9:48:30 | Most of the class acts were likely made of leftover powers and text, so they'll probably hold off until Divine Power and see what they need to prune from that. In the meantime, you could offer to write/submit an article on Str Paladins (or add a thematic element). |
| #8hatsumaJan 15, 2009 9:30:23 | I'm going to be a Dwarf Str-based Paladin in my next game. Talk about a dearth of options. Personally, I'd just be happy with an actual str-based power every level. :/ |
| #9fiendish_dire_weaselJan 15, 2009 17:20:10 | I'm going to be a Dwarf Str-based Paladin in my next game. Talk about a dearth of options. Multiclass Fighter, Warlord or Cleric is the only real option. |
| #10shivafangJan 16, 2009 5:29:00 | We've already seen new Warlord and Wizard stuff (Illusion powers, much?) I think we need to see some divine stuff. Especially shortly after PHB releace once we get the Invoker and the Avenger. I think that's the problem. We have 4 martial classes in the PHB, and two each of the other power sources. Adding Dragon we have 5 playable arcane (Wizard, Warlock, Artificer and Bard oh and Swordmage) and still only 2 divine classes (I'm talking LFR playable, which the invoker isn't.) Given all that, I don't think we'll see much divine love until PHB2 comes out, then they better start playing catchup. I think putting the Divine book 3rd (rather than 2nd in 3.0 and 3.5) is a knee-jerk reaction to the CoDzilla fad. |
| #11evantaJan 19, 2009 18:58:57 | Get a 'Class Acts' out for the STR paladin or cleric, and I'll subscribe! (com'on you guys got $$ on the line, go do it already) |
| #12CailteJan 20, 2009 9:07:19 | *puts thinking cap on* Well if I can think of something thematic for the Cleric and the Paladin along these lines I'll make a submission. The hardest part of powers is comming up with the idea of what the power means - putting mechanics to them is actually pretty easy once you know what you see the power as doing. |
