The character sheet description of the Artificer "Magic Weapon" At-Will gives a bonus to damage of either Constitution or Wisdom. It only shows the Wisdom number.

Additionally, the LFR Campaign setting deselects Magic Weapon as a legal power choice for the Artificer. Is it supposed to be not allowed?

It doesn't list constitution modifier but you can just check your character sheet and use that.

Magic weapon not being legal is a bug though, feel free to use it.

I'd still call it a bug that it doesn't list the Con mod, although it's pretty minor.

It would be quite handy for powers (and items) that have multiple choices available for what Ability mod you use to be able to be customizable so you can select which Ability mod you are using (much like how you can customize it so you can show which weapon/implement you're using with it). I'm sure usually it would be the highest, but not necessarily always.

The CB with this power automatically shows the higher of the 2 stats (con or wis) as the bonus on the power card. Or at leas that is how mine shows it.

Yeah, I would prefer that powers like this allow you to select the stat you want to use with it (much like how Eldritch Blast / Eldritch Strike do it.) This avoids the problem of the program having to decide based on which is higher.

Why you would much rather use the lower bonus?

Why you would much rather use the lower bonus?

There could come a time in the future when it matters which stat you are using for a power. For instance, they may make a class that gets bonuses for using a power with a certain stat as the attack stat. It would be suboptimal for me to want to have an attack that would key off of it, but the half-elf getting an at-will as an encounter power would guarantee that I could find an attack that uses the stat in question.

Not saying that's going to happen but that it *could* happen.

Also, it would be better to let us choose because the character builder can be iffy on picking the right stat sometimes....
