Is it to early for the August Dungeon/Dragon contents or can I just not find it?

Not expecting to see too much on the calendar before Gencon myself, as I am fairly sure they will be using the secondhalf of Augusts DDI releases to pimp ang Gencon announcements...

If mudbunny doesn't beat me to it, I'll poke Trevor about this this afternoon.

This is getting a bit absurd now.

I've just officially poked Trevor on the subject (Sorry, I'm on vacation for a wedding, so I didn't get a chance to do this sooner. Poor Trevor just had the misfortune of IMing me as I was reading this thread. )

The ETA I've heard is that the calendar will go up this week, so I'm expecting to see it today or tomorrow. I'll let you know if I hear anything new.

DMG2 Excepts! Hooray!
Scales of War advice! Hooray!

The free content looks like it might be more enjoyable for me than everything else... Heh.

Stuff that sticks out for me:
  • Githzerai Previews
  • Domains of Dread: Monadhan
  • Fighter: Essentials (not a Class Act? I wonder what this is)
  • Campaign Workshop: The Blasphemer (new column? This could be the first of the new focus for Dungeon)
  • Bazaar of the Bizarre: Primal Items
  • DMG2 Previews

There is also Divine stuff like Bahamut and Domains for FR and Eberron. But for me, ehh, Divine.

I am most curious about the Fighter: Essentials and Campaign Workshop.

Color me sad. Still no Ecology articles for Changelings or Kalashtar, or Playing Goblinoids, to support Eberron.

And mildly confused - why is there a Playing Githzerai article, a week or two later, when we're getting the Gith in the CB update, plus an article then, like the Psion?

I'm guessing Playing Githzerai will contain new character options for Githzerai, much like Dragonborn received.

I doubt we'll see much on goblinoids. I hear they are going to be in the PHB3. Purely rumor at this point though.

Looks like this is gonna be a very enjoyable month for me.

I'm not the biggest fan of the monk or psionics but githzerai are a bit more intriguing. A preview plus the Playing Githzerai article can only mean one thing, fun.

Before warlords, paladins were one of my favorite classes, so the Bahamut article should also be fun and hopefully just as useful as the Bane one. I've gotten a lot of use out of the Bane article, one of my favs so far. My PC is an unaligned worshipper of Bane and takes the Soldier of Conquest as his paragon path.

I've always enjoyed the Domains of Dread articles; looking forward to this next entry. Looking for the next Sunderheart.

I didn't take the time to mention it, but the Explore Airspur article last month was excellent, stirred my imagination; looking forward to more of the same.

I'm a new Eberron player, so I second the suggestion of a changeling or kalashtar ecology article ;).

The Dragon ToC is up: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/drtoc/378

It seems like this month is introducing new series of articles that is neat. Both Essentials and Channel Divinity. It is interesting with Essentials it states, "This first article in an ongoing series for all classes introduces some character creation and tactical basics for character classes." That to me sounds like going beyond just Feats and Powers.

Looks to me like both of those series are preparation for the seperation of DM and player content. Overall I'd say that this looks like a good month.
