I really like the Monster builder. For a beta it feels very robust, and fairly easy to navigate if you're familiar with the system.

My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be an option to raise or lower defenses based on whether a monster is a Standard, Elite, or Solo. I can manually set the defenses myself, but the builder claims that it will set them for me, and to be honest, if I were a new DM, I may not know that Elites and Solos get a defense boost.

Otherwise the program seems solid, other than that saving throw bug.

Hey Xi_Mao. The Monster Builder actually uses the DMG 2 rules where Elite and Solo monsters don't get those defensive updates. So in this case things are working correctly from the most recent rules.

Very interesting. I'm looking forward to the DMG2 to say the least.

Oh wait, you mean elites no longer get defense bonuses either? I thought that was just solos.

Oh...I see...

In that case should I bug report the fact that the build says that changing elite/solo/standard status changes the Defenses?
