Avenger Armor Class Requires Cloth Armor

Nov 21, 2009 19:48:26 I saw the new rule that the Avengers only get their Armor of Faith bonus when wearing cloth armor. But you have to actually be equipping cloth armor, even if it's non-magical. Was that really the intent? Avengers have no Armor of Faith when buck naked? ;)

Took me a minute to figure that out. I had several moments of panic when I unequipped my leather armor, and my AC didn't include the Armor of Faith bonus.

Nov 21, 2009 20:17:11 I would think that, since everybody can wear cloth armor, everybody would wear cloth armor, even if nonmagical, so there's no reason to say 'in cloth or no armor'. If they ever introduced a class that wasn't even proficient with cloth armor (which would be kinda dumb), then there might be a need for that clause.

Though really, wouldn't cloth armor, just be... clothes?

There are plenty of situations that might occur, from being a prisoner to fighting off the guards after jumping out of your paramour's window because her husband came home early.

I noticed this too over the weekend. Looks like a bug to me. I'm planning to report it with the CBs bug report feature once I get home.

Each game is different. But it's not incoceivable that someone might run a type of game that resulted in the player having no clothes and having to fight.

Regardless ... it says "no armor" so the CB should reflect that.

Given that Sehanine supposedly has a lot of avengers working for her (according to PHB2), this probably happens more often than you'd think...
