#1 victordavion Feb 05, 2009 23:15:15	Well since I cant seem to post in the Dragon article specific section for some reason Ill post here. Was anyone esle somewhat disappointed with this article? I was happy to see the new channel divinity, exceptionally happy, other than that though I found it lacking. The fluff was nice but not really informative and the new paragon path seems exceptionally weak for a martial basis as fighters are the only class that could use it effectively. The monsters were lackluster, except for Banes Exarch which was nice, but NO BANE. I was looking forward to this article for awhile, now I feel really gipped that I didnt get Shadar-Kai today and got this sub par article. Anyone with me?

#3 Artifact Feb 05, 2009 23:54:46	As a god of war, the fluff ineveitably had a certain feel; Bane does feel a lot like Ares from Greek Myth. It's the little details (like aphorisms, holy texts), and the pre-history that I enjoy the most; that's where articles like this shine for me. I really didn't expect to see stats for Bane (prolly would have been disappointed if there were). A very enjoyable article. I was always a big, big, fan of the 'Core Beliefs' series of articles (by Sean K Reynolds) in the print Dragon. 'Deities & Demigods' looks well-suited to carry that particular torch. Can't wait to see more, so please, keep 'em coming ;).
