Barbarian Rage Strike, feat & item bonuses to damage rolls

I've noticed that the CB does not seem to be adding feat & Item bonuses to the damge rolls when my Bugbear barbarian burns a rage power as rage strike. It is only adding my strength modifier. If I burn Swift Panther rage as a rage Strike, it actually does less damage than if I had entered the rage, because the rage itself is adding feat an item bonuses, only the rage strike seems to be affected by this.


I've spent some considerable time reveiwing the PHB2, searching the compendium, and I couldn't find anything about feats & item bonuses not applying to damage rolls on a rage strike. Finally I made a profile and went searching in the forums, and could not find a reference about bonuses to rage strike damage or the lack there of.


It would be just like me to miss some blatantly obvious rule, so someone please tell me if the CB is calculating the rage strike bonuses to damage incorrectly.

I'm not sure I'm seeing your problem, where is it showing incorrect damage data?  Could you give more details?

Nov 12, 2009 13:36:02 		when I use a rage as a rage strike, it is only adding my strength to the damage.
If I enter the rage instead of useing it up as a ragestrike, it adds my strength, along with any item and feat bonuses to the damage.

Specifically, if I use the swift panther rage with my large Mordenkrad, I do 6d8+15(7 from STR, 8 from item & feat bonuses) damage.
If I use a rage strike and expend a level 1 rage to do it, I do 6d8+7 (STR only) damage.

My question is why are the feat and item bonuses being applied to the rage, and not the rage strike.

I have a Dragonborn barbarian 5 with the feats : dragonborn frenzy (+2 bonus to dmg roll while bloodied) and deadly rage (+1 bonus to damage roll while raging).

Those additional effects show on all relevant power cards except on the Rage Strike power card. I don't see any reason for this. Anyone could help me with this ?
