It is an endless loop of waiting for D&D Insider website for a download without anything happening. It jumps back to the beginning after five seconds and restarts. I have Window Vista Home Premium and modern versions of Internet Explorer and Adobe Acrobat Professional. But I have heard of someone with a Mac complain about the same problem. In the past I have encountered a very frustrating endless loop when I have tried to download anything (including the character building) while logged into D&D Insider. This is never a problem when the same information was available for public use (such as when the character builder was released to the public). Yes, I tried Firefox and anything else that was suggested or that I could think up. Well, I finally stumbled across how to download the D&D Insider files consistently. For me this is what it takes: Possibly Necessary: Run virus scan and eliminate all tracking cookies. Increase the amount of disc space allowed for internet temporary files. Allow pop ups for the wizards website. Slightly reduce security protection for cookies. Slightly reduce security for browser. Tab Browser turned off. Necessary: Close all internet browsers. Open only one internet window. Go to D&D Insider. Clear all temporary internet data. Log in. If necessary Log in again. Find the magazine/article you want to download. Left click to download it (for me this forms an infinite loop in the download window). A downloading window will open; leave this window open. Go back to the original magazine/article you want to download. Left click again to download it. A second downloading window will open; leave this window open also. After a minute, one of the two downloading windows will change then will have the article downloading into it. Give it adequate time to download. The other downloading window will remain in an infinite loop. Save the PDF file that you want. Close both downloading windows. Go back to the original magazine/article window. Click to find another magazine/article that you wish to download; don’t open extra windows or log into anything else. Repeat the process, by left clicking on the download link, waiting about 10 seconds and then go back to the same download link and left click on the download link again. Leave both these windows open and in this case usually the second download window that opens will be the one that the download is completed in. If internet explorer stops working, allow the program to sort out the problem by clicking ok, then allow it to close whatever program it needs then continue onward as normal.
#2 trooper Jan 16, 2009 23:00:53	I have the same thing happen and what i do is Click on file the select edit page with microftword. Then it works. I can't download the PC generator for some reason though.
