Beta and Demo hang on startup

I downloaded the Beta a while back but hadn't had a chance to try it out until last night. I recreated the four characters that my group has been playing last night, and was tweaking them and getting ready to print them out today when the program crashed o desktop. I rebooted my computer and tried to open the program and it stuck on the very first welcome screen (small blue window with "Dungeons & Dragons Character Builder"). After waiting a while I opened Task Manager and the entry for the DDCB read "Please wait while the application opens."

So I uninstalled and downloaded and installed the Demo that's currently on the DDI site and am having the same issue. This time it goes to the Get Update screen, and since I have not subscribed yet I click "Launch Character Builder" and that's where it gets stuck. I also re-installed .net 3.5 sp1 with no luck.

Currently running Windows XP Pro 2002 sp3 on a Macbook Pro through Bootcamp - I'm not sure what other information would be helpful.

Thanks!

The Character Sheet Viewer that came with the Demo works just fine, so at least I can print the characters I had been working on.

Once again answered my own question :embarrass

I deleted the character file I had been working on when the program crashed and now it seems to be working again. I'm not sure why that would screw it up, but it appears to have done just that.
