When I create a custom character for Beyond The Crystal Cave and I try to select a Background, it instead brings up three Themes - Fey Beast Tamer, Tuathan and Unseelie Agent. When I try to select a theme, it brings up those three themes again, when according to the character sheet that was handed out there should be many others to choose from - Sidhe Lord and several themes from Dragon magazine.
I'll check again later - maybe not everything went through or it's a problem on my end for some reason. If it doesn't seem to be working later on then I'll submit a bug report.
Also, I was able to equip a Pixie with a Shortbow. The Longbow is a two handed weapon. As it lacks the Small quality, Pixies may not use it.
Edit: For testing purposes, I did use the Beyond the Crystal Cave campaign option, rather than Home Campaign, which is my default.
The Themes are all there (not the ones from Dragon, but AFAIK, the only Themes that specifically tie in with this season are being published this month).
For themes, the character sheet handed out for Beyond The Crystal Cave says you can select from Fey Beast Tamer, Sidhe Lord, Tuathan and Unseelie Agent (if you have the requirements) but it also lists 13 other themes from Dragon as options, but those don't show up.

EDIT: Actually, for the backgrounds, it only lists the backgrounds associated with the four Feywild themes, but doesn't list anything else. If the character sheet correctly explains your available choices, you're only supposed to be able to pick Crystalbrooker, Sildaine or Sybaran backgrounds, not the backgrounds associated with Fey Beast Tamer, Sidhe Lord, Tuathan or Unseelie Agent.
Good to see they're on it. Hopefully they'll have it fixed real soon.
I submitted a bug report for this and received a speedy reply from an agent who stated they entered into the tracking system for review and hopes to see a fix implemented sooner rather than later. He suggested in the meantime to just work around it by using Home Campaign but keeping within the guidelines of Encounters accepted characters.

It sounds more like an oversight than a bug (someone on the Encounters team forgetting to tell someone on the DDI team about the expanded list of allowed themes). Still, the DDI team needed to be made aware of it. I would be surprised to see it fixed before December's update, though.

Oh yeah, and the problem with working around this is that the three backgrounds (Crystalbrooker, Sildaine and Sybaran) aren't ANYWHERE in the CB, even if I do a home campaign. The way they make it sound from the character sheet and what the DM told me of the module, choosing one of those backgrounds is NOT optional (if you actually stick to the guidelines, anyway).
Personally, I'd be surprised if they DIDN'T fix it before next week's session. I'd prefer if they fix it by tomorrow, but I guess we'll see what happens.
