Defenders of the Faith, Sword and Fist.... but the book that I turned to more often then any of them was the Hero Builder's Guidebook! That is because of the Personal History generator, the Alignment generator, and the Names Appendix. Those 3 items saw more use during character generation then any other add-on book I have. I would love to see them recreated for 4.0 D&D Insider. The Personal History generator would need just a few tweeks and it could be dropped in almost as is. Same for the Alignment generator. The Names Appendix would have to be updated for the new races and picking between "base" D&D or Forgotten Realms. But would not be that hard to do either. You already have a random name creator in the Character Creator. (That works GREAT, by the way!) Just my 2 cents.... an idea to help tie some of the stuff I liked in 3.0 to the new rule set.
