I'm sure I've made a bonehead mistake, but I can't tell what's wrong with this: with the Character Builder, my damage workspace seems to be adding in the +2 for the Bracers of Mighty Striking, however, all of my power cards seem to be shy those 2 points:

Bracers of Mighty Striking only grant the damage bonus to melee basic attacks, as far as I recall. It wouldn't apply to the character's powers.

Edit: Yep, basic attacks only:

Property: When you hit with a melee basic attack, you gain a +2 item bonus to the damage roll.

Ah! Thank you so much! Very helpful!

Funny, I'm so used to the symbols in D&D Minis that that totally slipped my reading of that item.

Iron armbands of power are the item you most likely want if you want damage for all melee attacks. Just remember that close bust 1 attacks with a melee weapon do not count as melee attacks for this item either.

I'm sure that I'm just missing something incredibly obvious here, but what is 'close bust 1 attacks' ???

There are four kinds of attacks: melee, ranged, close, and area. Close burst 1 is an attack centered on you, going 1 square in every direction.

Some classes have close burst attacks (such as the barbarian's Great Cleave) that use melee weapons, but are not by the rules melee attacks. Thus, they wouldn't be boosted by the Iron Armbands.

I actually prefer a close bust double D but can make do with just about any cup size close to me
