In fact, I thought there was a feedback email address but now I can't find it so it is off to the forums. I'm really pleased with the neat toys in DDI so far; the compendium is coming along nicely, the character builder is quite sweet, and I use the monster builder all the time. In fact I wish there was a version of that as fancy as the character builder! In general I feel really good that I've bought into DDI. My sole post-worthy gripe thus far is this: Even though I am paying for the service, there points where "content" in the website is simply just more advertising. It started with the latest digital insider, with two paragraphs explaining why I should continue subscribing, and how I can "lock in great rates!" if I "act now!," and now I see Sage Advice has the answer to this pressing question: What should I buy someone for Christmas if I want to get them into D&D? Sage Advice? Seriously? Not two weeks ago I had an email exchange with the friendly cats in customer service about a rules question. The final answer after getting three people involved was that they were stumped, but they'd pass it along to the devs and maybe we'd see the question answered soon. If it was that easy to stump CS, there must be hundreds of those types of questions out there. It seems a real waste to use Sage Advice for yet more advertising. |

The Editorial was just spam advertising... the Druid Preview (formerly playtest) isn't original content, it'll be obsoleted when the books come out. The 120 pages of original content I'm expecting aren't showing up. Sage Advice should be posted daily : there are certainly enough questions that need answering and are being answered that Customer Service should be able to post at least one response per day to an outstanding question. |

It's tough to say "We're going to give you new stuff 3 days a week" when those weeks happen during thanksgiving, christmas and new years. I do wonder how usable stuff like the Druid preview really is, though. Knowing what the Druid might be is neat for sure, but I don't imagine many game tables are going to drop everything and roll 1st or 2nd level druids to give it a try. |
