| #1malachidrakeApr 24, 2011 8:02:32 | So I subscribed to DDI and I have an email confirming my order. When I go into my account to view my subscription history the details are there. Yet whenever I try to access a DDI tool I am told I need a DDI subscription to do so… so I am quite confused. Nothing in the FAQ covers this and I don’t have the luxury of calling an American phone number for customer support on something I thought would be as easy as buying, logging in, selecting tools and having fun. I have logged in and out, refreshed my browser, cache and such. Is this a common problem? Am I doing something dumb? |

| #3malachidrakeApr 24, 2011 11:46:24 | Is it normal for it to take over five hours? Should I just be patient or do you think should I be emailing somebody? To tell you the truth, for such a large and established company offering a subscription service I had expected to get smooth and instant access as soon as I had lined their pockets with my coin. Can’t remember the last time I had to wait like this; even with small indie companies. Thanks for all the advice by the way. I am following those steps and clearing my cache/cookies each time I check. Which his often ;) |

| #5lokiareApr 24, 2011 12:54:31 | In most cases it takes 24-48 hours. Do what Muddbunny said and if you can't access it after 2 days, then try to contact customer service. If you can't do that Muddbunny can get the forum people to fix your problem and then after that you can contact customer service and then after that if your lucky they can get it fixed in a couple of days. Though you'll have to go back and forth with them. They've tell you its fixed, you'll have to tell them its not... etc... etc... |

| #7_Mithreinmaethor_Apr 24, 2011 13:49:04 | In general if you are not a previous DDi member just resubscribing after being gone for a couple of months it can take between 2 and 24 hrs to get access. The longer periods are usually seen when people decide to join on a weekend. I am pretty sure your timer for your month wont start until WOTC has you listed as a DDi member. |
| #8DrGermApr 24, 2011 15:37:53 | I am pretty sure your timer for your month wont start until WOTC has you listed as a DDi member. But I wanted to use the character builder for something today ![]() I feel like I must be spoiled that I truly expect that if I sign up for something online, that access is granted immediately... |
| #9JhariiApr 24, 2011 15:55:57 | In most cases it takes 24-48 hours. I've never heard that time reference before. Did you follow the instructions that Mudbunny provided. That has worked in every case that I have seen. And when he says "shut down your browser" that means all instances of your browser. |
| #10DrGermApr 24, 2011 15:58:36 | And when he says "shut down your browser" that means all instances of your browser. Yep, tried on multiple computers, restarted computers, etc. Also, note the lack of DDI icon for my account posting on this forum at the moment. Yet, it's all paid for per email receipt and from checking my account information online. |
| #11JhariiApr 24, 2011 16:01:52 | And when he says "shut down your browser" that means all instances of your browser. The logo may not be displayed for a day or two, but you should still have access to DDI from the Wizards' site. If it does, indeed, take up to 2 days, then you should not be billed for this time. If they are billing you and it takes 2 days for access, then I would contact customer service. |
| #12malachidrakeApr 24, 2011 16:26:00 | I have followed the steps perfectly and I have done additional steps just to be certain; on numerous occasions. I often have periods where I don’t get to use the computer often so with subscriptions I often let them lapse. Will I have to wait 24-48 hours each time this happens? This would all be a lot less annoying if, at any stage of the order, it was clearly marked in bold text that the automated payment part of the website is not linked to DDI access and that there could be a long wait.Like the other poster, I brought my subscription today because I wanted to use the advertised features today for an upcoming game next week. Like a fool I have spent hours at my pc trying to log in :P Sadface. |
| #13dynamic_reversistApr 24, 2011 16:37:35 | Likewise here....after a long break, our group is playing once again, making the subscription a worthwhile purchase. It has been about 4 months since I was last subscribed. This isn't the first time I have let my account lapse, but this IS the first time I remember having to wait this long to actually access anything. |
