| #1dragonfatherMar 14, 2009 23:08:43 | I recieve an application error which forces the Character Builder to close. This bug is reproducible. Here are the steps. 1. Create a new character. 2. Choose Half Elf as your race. 3. Choose a class other than Barbarian. 4. Go to choose your powers. Click to choose the Half Elf power, then click the Barbarian power Howling Strike. I am attempting to highlight and select it. I am not clicking the Choose Power button, I am simply clicking on the power itself in the list. This course of action thus far has produced an application error 100% of the time. You do not necessarily have to do exactly the steps described above. The above steps are the quickest method to produce the error. Any time I attempt to click on the Barbarian power Howling Strike when trying to select my Half Elf dilettante racial bonus at any point during character creation, the error occurs. It should be noted that in the preview area to the right side of the screen, the rules text for the power never shows up, it crashes before then. Edit: I also have the latest full version of the Character Builder |

Then chose Howling Strike, no crash. Edit: I mean everything. The last thing you should pick on your level one chracter is the dilettante power. |

| #4jhanzurMar 15, 2009 8:53:21 | Right, I just clicked on all the powers, Howling strike is the only one affected. Doesn't change my suggestion. Choose the dilettante power last. Avoids this completely. |

If your character has a Str of 12 or greater the program will not crash. If your character does not have that 12+ in Str the program will crash no matter how you get there.
