#1 lomerell_dawnbringer Apr 03, 2009 14:56:29	First discovered this on my bard. Apparently if you have NINE class features, the text will wrap correctly and you can read the full (summary) text of each class feature; everything you need to play. (And everything you'd expect to see on a character sheet.) As soon as you add a TENTH class feature, the text will no longer wrap. Any features which have more than one line of text will be unreadable (except for the first 4 to 6 words). I discovered the discrepancy when re-creating my bard again from scratch, after noticing that no other character sheets but mine suffered from this highly annoying bug. I checked the "character sheet" periodically while step-by-step creating the bard, and for the longest time I thought it was a one-time fluke that only affected my first creation. But "Pact Initiate" gave me a new "class feature" (I chose Fey Pact), bumping my total class features from 9 to 10. All of a sudden they shortened to just one line apiece and become unreadable. Just to test it out, I unselected Fey Pact: Back to readable text. To make sure this wasn't just related to Pact Initiate, I tried KEEPING Pact Initiate but unselecting my Bardic Virtue (Virtue of Valor, in my case). Other things I have tried: Putting the Class/Path/Destiny features on a new page. Elongating the Class/Path/Destiny features box to create more room for text. Moving the Class/Path/Destiny Features box to other locales on the character sheet. Moving "Languages Known" to a different sheet (since it defaults below my problem box and I wanted more length...however, nothing the Character Builder lets me make the box LONGER, only WIDER.) Retyping most of the features in short(er) hand so that I have more empty lines for text to display the really long ones (like Virtue of Valor) None of these has had any improvement. If I have less than ten features, my text ALWAYS wraps correctly, and if I have ten or more features, my text NEVER wraps correctly. So to get a readable character sheet, all I have to do is not create the real character I want. It is worth pointing out that this is happening to me at level EIGHT; I don't even have Paragon path features or epic destiny features. Gods forbid I should take a second multiclass as part of the bard. For the sake of Bahamut, let me choose whether or not the text wraps. Then *I* can decide where and how much to use shorthand to conserve space. And let me make the box longer, for pity's sake; there is no reason for the shorthand at all. There's enough room on the PAGE (without the Language Known box) for ALL the text I want, but the Character Builder just refuses to give it to me. Thanks for listening.
#2 erich Apr 03, 2009 15:14:21	I noticed the same thing when trying to recreate a bard. A fix or work around would be very welcome. And, is this only affecting the bard?
#3 lomerell_dawnbringer Apr 03, 2009 15:33:43	I have just been trying to create a Druid to see if I duplicate the error on a different class. I couldn't get enough Class Features onto the druid to try, but I did notice that with enough FEATS, the same problem occurs, just in the Feats box instead of the Class/Path/Destiny Features box. Apparently this bug is not restricted to just that box; any box where the Character Builder decides you have too many to list full text (even if you edit them to pare them down or try to give it more room to work with), it will clip off any text except for one line apiece. Bard is especially susceptible because multiple multiclassing (haha) gives a ton more "class features" than other classes can possibly have. But since I only reached the limit with ONE multiclass feat, I suspect other classes are prone. Tested successfully first with a 22nd level Cleric: After adding the Paragon Path, I still had only 8 class features, and the full texts of all were displayed in full. As soon as I added Epic Destiny, I got two more class/path/destiny features for a total of ten, and voila: No more text wrapping. __ The real annoyance now is that knowing this happens for both class features AND feats, epic-level characters will never be readable until this is fixed. Here are just a few possible solutions: Let us elongate (top-bottom) the boxes as desired. Let us choose whether or not the text wraps, esp. if we have edited the summary text short enough for enough of the lines to fit it all in. Let us choose which feats and features we want to wrap and which we don't want; some we may have memorized, whereas others we want a quick reference guide to the option. Let us change and choose the font size and type so that we can make greater use of limited space. Let us shorten boxes "above" the ones affected; if Race features fits on three lines, let us have three more lines for class features.
