| #1arnvid2008Jun 07, 2009 4:36:31 | I tried using the 'report a bug' tag line in the Character Builder and I received the message that a technical error had occured and that I needed to close my browser and try again. So, instead I came here. ![]() I have a human warlock who has just achieved 9th level and he has a Wand of Radiance + 2. For his 9th level warlock daily power, he chose 'Ring of Pain' from the Forgotten Realms Player Guide. The power card for 'Ring of Pain' correctly shows the hit bonus and the damage done by 'Ring of Pain' when the Wand of Radiance +2 is equipped. However, for some strange reason, the cards for his other powers (Eyebite, Eldritch Blast, Dire Radiance, Otherwind Stride, Shout of Triumph [my character is multiclassed as a bard], Mire the Mind, Crown of Stars, Curse of the Bloody Fangs) do not show the bonus to hit and damage when using the Wand of Radiance +2. In the previous version of Character Builder, these other powers correctly displayed the effects of having a Wand of Radiance +2 equipped. Would you please attend to this bug? |

I have since switched 'Ring of Pain' and other 9th level power choices and the bug seems to be very specific: the most recent power acquired (the 9th level power) is correctly displayed but all previously chosen powers are not. I wish I had suggestions for the software development team but I am a semi-retired COBOL and Fortran hacker. ![]() |

I just built a character like yours, to test it out, and it worked fine for me. |

| #5mdonaisJun 08, 2009 3:03:28 | We fixed some weirdness related to this for next month's update. In the mean time try right clicking power cards and customizing what they show. |
| #6saagaelJun 14, 2009 19:33:25 | I don't know if this is just me that's getting this, but whenever I open an existing character, it duplicates that characters icon on the "start" page, and when I delete one, it deletes both. Not only that, but I opened an existing character, then switched to another character, only to have the first character's portrait change, and have their information completely wiped. The name and personal information remained, but class, race, feats, powers: all gone. Kind of frustrating since it was a character I need to keep track of on a regular basis. Anyone else get this problem? |
| #7MektonZeroJun 23, 2009 23:07:55 | On a related note to the Wand, I'm getting all kinds of weirdness with Swordmage builds; especially when upgrading to a magic weapon. From other related behavior it appears that it's not even looking at the currently wielded weapon to determine bonus. I upgrade to a magic weapon and no bonus is shown, I delete the original normal weapon and the hit/damage line disappears as if I'm not wielding a weapon for my melee powers (oddly enough it also disappears from my implement power cards). I rebuy the normal weapon but don't equip it and that normal weapon shows as being wielded on the power cards but at least I get my hit/damage line back and it's easy enough to edit until they get a fix in. |
