(Bug) Journal Entry Deletion-Entries reappearing

Apr 06, 2009 15:06:11 I have encountered a reoccuring issue where I have deleted Journal Entries and they "pop" back up when I log back into the Character Generator Later.

Apr 06, 2009 15:27:29 Not sure if this will help, but make sure you save your character after you delete the entry. I noticed that sometimes when I closed CB after deleting entries, they would pop back up if I didn't save character after deleting them.

Apr 07, 2009 14:33:13 Nope. I've seen it too. I made sure I saved and reproduced a number of times.

In my case, the issue was that the re-appearing notes were made with an earlier version of CB, back before it had full fledged RPGA-style journal entries. The notes were in the XML just as string objects, or something like that.

I had to edit the XML to get them to stop coming back.

Apr 07, 2009 15:08:11 This happens with characters ported from an older version of the CB to the latest version. There were other little bugs with this as well. I ended up just redoing all of my characters (4) in the new version and deleted to old characters saved files.
