Bug? Can't add rituals for my invoker

Apr 12, 2010 15:17:18 I have an existing level 7 Invoker.

I go to the shop area and find a ritual. The "buy book" and all other adjacent icons are grayed out. It does not matter whether I have sufficient gold or if the rituals are low level. As an invoker, I have the ritual caster feat. I have my bonus rituals already chosen at character creation many months ago. I add money to my PC, then exit. Now it works when I restart.

I played around, and I think this is the issue.

You start without enough money to purchase the book/scroll. Add more money, and you still can't buy or add the item. For example, 50g. Then, adding gold, I still had to exit the program and come back in to see that I could buy it (or add it).

However, there seems to be more to it. For example, I might have 50g and the level 4 Call of Friendship says it can be added as a scroll or book, but not purchased. The level 4 Darklight (actually cheaper) cannot be added except as a scroll, and cannot be purchased. I can't replicate the situation where even a scroll cannot be added, but that is what I had originally.

Has anyone seen this? I'll submit a ticket, but wanted to check if anyone had found this.

Apr 17, 2010 17:48:56 I had the same problem. I bought another ritual book and it seemed to fix it. Give that a shot in the meantime.

Might have to have an exsisting character and upgrade. I'm not sure.

Apr 20, 2010 11:44:38 I was trying to repro it with older characters, though I only had a wizard. Does this behavior continue if you re-make the character?

Apr 20, 2010 15:38:58 I had recently copied some of my PCs to my laptop - I just tried to see if I had the same problem there and I did not. It is a very strange error. I had it without question and could sort of reproduce it by changing gold amounts. I could not trigger it on my laptop (XP laptop vs Vista desktop, but I can't imagine that is the issue).

Apr 21, 2010 12:42:50 It happened with my wizard and cleric. I havn't been able to duplicate it, buying a new ritual book fixed it.
