As of March 5, 2011, the character builder does not honor the Distant property on superior implements.

I have a Shaman with Superior Implement Training (Farseeing Totem). I've given the character a Farseeing totem and equipped it. Ranged powers do not have their ranged increased by two on the printed power cards.

I have also created a Warlock with a Rowan wand. The range of her Ranged powers is also not increased.

Same for Gloves of the Wandering Star and the Far Spell feat.  No range increasers appear to be working.

AFAIK, they never have - you just have to remember it yourself.

You are correct, and I am puzzled. I was certain that the legacy builder added the range, but it does not.

Given further consideration, I can see how it would be best to leave the range unmodified on the cards. It's easy enough to remember the increased range.

I can see not modifying the power cards for conditional range increasers, such as the implements. That way it will not appear as though the increased range applies when using other implements.

However, if you have Far Spell or have the gloves equipped it should modify the power cards.
