BUG: Magic Weapons (specifically Paired Weapon)

Hi,

As I am having the 'Update Profile' issue with the Help system (see http://forums.gleemax.com/showpost.php?p=18125192&postcount=162) I can think of no other place to report this bug.

I have the February update of CB, and an up to date Windows XP Home system.

I cannot add the Paired Weapon Enchantment to any weapon in the Magic Weapons section of Shop. Paired Weapon appears in Adventurer's Vault.

When I pick the weapon first, Paired Weapon (at all levels) disappears. When I pick the Enchantement first, all the weapons disappear.

No amount of jiggering with the Reset choice in either list fixes this, nor trying to fool the application with picking something like Magic Weapon +1 first, or unequipping other weapons.

I tried this with Club, Longsword and Shortsword so it doesn't seem to be any particular weapon causing this issue, but the actual enchantment. I can add other random enchantements to the appropriate weapon tyes without any problem.

Please investigate.

Weird. I haven't seen this bug reported in our bug system but it sounds very annoying.

The normal way to report a bug is to press the link on the title page of the character builder.

I will test this when I get to work today and enter it in the system if it still happens on the march build.

Thanks.

Thanks Mike.

Yes, I had tried to report this through the link in the Character Builder, but as I mentioned in the post, I was having the issue where I could not log into the Customer Help system from any location.

(This issue is hopefully fixed as like many others my password has been reset.)

If it is still in the March build, I'll oficially report it using the usual channels.
In the meantime, if you spot it and slip in a fix, my Two-Blade Ranger would apreciate it. ;)

In general I think Character Builder is great, and it improves every build. My whole gaming group subscribes.

Yeah i had the same problem with that particular magic weapon myself, i did report it through the bug system though myself. I believe since the description of the item say "one handed weapon" but not one of the weapons that we can chose from say "one handed" they either say versatile or off hand but not one hand.

This problem exists after the March update and isn't on the Known Issues list.

I reported it as a bug , ’090325-000323’.

I think sk8in900 has hit the cause right on the head - perhaps the enchantments search against properties values, where as one-handed and two-handed are not explicit properties, they are part of the category.

So either the enchantment has a typo in its expression of allowed weapons, or it is only searching Properties and will never find one-handed there, thus returning empty weapons, and vice versa when a weapon is selected.
