| #1tpkurillaMar 25, 2011 23:36:09 | I've been using the offline CB for the last few months. My reasoning was that the bulk of the serious issues will be worked out, and I can start using the online CB. So I go to build my Tiefling Warlock, and I see a really obvious problem: I'm not seeing Infernal Wrath showing up anywhere on my Tiefling in either the builder, or on the character sheet. Since the character builder doesn't have Infernal Wrath as a power for my character, I cannot take the Fiery Rebuke feat. For grins, I changed his race to Gnome, and didn't see Reactive Stealth listed as a power either. I looked in the known issues page, but didn't see this mentioned. SECONDARY BUG: Clicking on the "here" on the known issues page to report a bug sends me to a page that will not load. Now, I freely admit that I may just be failing to look in the correct place for the power, but the fact that I cannot even select a standard feat from the original Player's Handbook is pretty annoying. Is this a "feature", or am I just missing something? |
| #2seanwalshMar 26, 2011 9:11:20 | I could not replicate the bug. Everytime I create a tiefling character, Infernal Wrath shows up. |
| #3tpkurillaMar 26, 2011 17:07:52 | I could not replicate the bug. Where does it show up? I get the ability listed as text. I do not get a power card. And it clearly is not being seen to be used as a pre-req for Fiery Rebuke. ... Just created a level 1 Tiefling, and it has Infernal Wrath. What I did was create a level 16 character using "Custom" at the beginning. Let me try to build the character one level at a time. Odd that when I converted the character to a gnome, the gnome didn't have the racial either... I'll give it a try leveling up, and report back. -Thomas |
| #4tpkurillaMar 26, 2011 17:35:04 | Okay, I went through the whole process for a level 1 Tiefling Warlock. I checked after each step. When I chose Warlock's Wrath as his feat for level 1, the power card for Infernal Wrath disappeared. I'll try to create a character without that feat at level 1. Theoretically, since all my characters a now stored on WotC's server, the character file can be examined to figure out what's up (just a hint to any WotC type reading....) I'll re-post if I figure anything else out. -Thomas |
| #5tpkurillaMar 26, 2011 17:51:35 | Created a new Custom level 1 Tiefling Warlock. |
| #6tpkurillaMar 26, 2011 18:19:12 | Built the warlock to level 11, postponing choosing the Warlock's Wrath. As the level 10 feat, I chose Warlock's Wrath, and Infernal Wrath disappeared. Wow, just checked in the offline CB. Does it there too. This one's been around a while. The player whose character this is did not even notice that Infernal Wrath was gone (that's how little he used it...). The other thing that I noticed is that the OCB is not letting me retrain one of my lower feats to Fiery Rebuke...even with the Infernal Wrath there now. So that part was apparently a red herring. The offline CB allowed this retraining back before the Warlock's Wrath thing screwed it up. Now it's marked as House Ruled. Hopefully there is enough info here for the programmers to track down why Warlock's Wrath is hosing Infernal Wrath. Can someone from WotC please acknowledge this issue? -Thomas |
| #7_Mithreinmaethor_Mar 26, 2011 19:19:47 | Built the warlock to level 11, postponing choosing the Warlock's Wrath. Infernal Wrath is supposed to disappear. Its replaced by Warlocks Wrath |
| #8tpkurillaMar 27, 2011 1:51:30 | Infernal Wrath is supposed to disappear. Its replaced by Warlocks Wrath Went back and re-read the feat...again Dang, you're correct. So, in order to get d8s for the curse damage, you have to give up Infernal Wrath. Wow. I wonder if it was always that way, or if it was errata'd. In any case, sorry for the false alarm here. I looked at the original feat multiple times, but was apparently blind. I'll have to talk this over with my player. Thanks for the reality check. -Thomas |

You can get d8s for Curse damage by taking the Killing Curse Feat. |
| #10tpkurillaMar 27, 2011 14:16:22 | Thanks! Glad to know that it is available without losing Infernal Wrath. |
