| #1digganobJul 08, 2009 15:57:25 | I'm playing a bard and I take two multiclass feats early on: - Initiate of the Faith at level 2; - Sneak of Shadows at level 4. I then take a feat that has one of those as a prerequisite: -Two Fisted Shooter at level 6. Later on I do some retraining: - Retrain Initiate of the Faith into Bow Mastery at level 21; - Retrain Sneak of Shadows into Multiclass Mastery at level 22; - I choose Initiate of the Faith and Sneak of Shadows as my Mastery feats. It now tells me that Two Fisted Shooter is houseruled (because it's not recognizing Sneak of Shadows as being present as a prerequisite.) |

By RAW, you cannot retrain a feat which is being used as a prerequisite for another feat. The answer: retrain out of Two-Fisted Shooter first. Then, retrain back into it. |
| #3digganobJul 08, 2009 21:16:36 | Apparently that's not the problem. I tried changing up the character a bit. This time I have: - Initiate of the Faith at level 2 - Student of Battle at level 8 - Retrain Initiate of the faith into Bow Mastery at 21 - Retrain Student of Battle into Multiclass Mastery at level 22 - - Choose Initiate of the Faith and Student of Battle - At level 30, I'm trying to take Martial Resolve. The Prerequisite "Any Martial Class" should be fulfilled by Student of Battle, but it isn't giving it to me. (I have the other prerequisites; It worked before when I had retrained Sneak of Shadows instead of Student of Battle) At level 30, it shouldn't matter whether I've retrained out of and back into the feat at previous levels, I have the feat but it's not recognizing it for prereq. purposes. My theory is that it is flagged as having been retrained, and that flag is overriding the fact that I took it as one of my Multiclass Mastery choices. |
