Well, I was just creating a Wizard, and had some gold left at the end, so I decided to purchase some components, vis-a-vis residuum, for his rituals.

Well, it shows up under equipment, not in the Coins box in the residuum entry, which still shows as 0...

Is this a feature ;) or a certifiable, repeatable, bug?

I'd say its a bug. It sure does bug me that the coin box states "residuum: 0" no matter what I do :P
Besides that, there really is no reason not to update the coin box with your residuum purchase.

Another annoying part of buying residuum is that you do it per 1gp worth of residuum. If you want to buy a lot of residuum, or find a lot as treasure, you will need to click a whole lot before your character has it. I can imagine how that goes at epic tier... :D

Go into the Quantity box, enter a number, and the Buy button buys that much Residuum one a single click.

Excellent someone found the quantity box.

Since this is basically only used for components it gets overlooked and forgotten about. It is really important though once someone actually needs it.

You can remove large amounts of residuum that way too.
