| #1MathusOct 30, 2008 13:59:51 | Anyone else with this issue? Maybe I am doing something wrong I don't know about? I called Customer Service because each time I attempt to sign up I get this message. "We are unable to process your order. Please verify your information and try again." They took all my information and said I would get a response from Customer Service with in two business days. Here is my "response" I received.

| #2mudbunnyOct 30, 2008 14:04:50 | I have poked Solice and asked her to get soemone to look into this. |
| #3MathusOct 30, 2008 17:09:43 | Thanks for poking WotC (I think). Here is what I just got in the past hour.Thank you for your interest in Dungeons and Dragons Insider. Per your request, we have reviewed your order. OK. I go to that screen. I have two ways to log in. To begin, please complete one of the following options: Hmm, OK. I didn't have a password in the e-mail above but maybe my password they are talking about is the one I use for my account login. Here is what I get with that. The order number was not found. OK. Maybe I just don't know my password and need that. I click the Forgot Password link. Here is that e-mail. Dear Thom xxxxx, I did not blank out my password. There is just nothing there. (Which is why in this post I have blanked out my order number so no one can mess with it.) OK. What happens if I try and log in with no password? Order Number: xxxxxxx OK that doesn't work. What about if I use the credit card method of getting in? (Now at this point I am not sure if this order number is the one with my VISA or my Discover since I have tried both and gotten two different order numbers.) First the VISA number. The order number was not found. Then the Discover number. Upgrade to Winamp Pro - Powered by Digital River Wait. Oh man. I have now gotten my order to go through. Here is what was causing the issue and how I fixed it. Way back in the day two years ago when I signed up for WinAmp I used a different address on my e-mail and credit card for WinAmp. Since Digital River has an address on record for my e-mail address they check internally to see if everything matches instead of checking with the credit card company. Once I used that two year old address registered on my old WinAmp order instead of my mailing address associated with my credit card it went through. I guessed at the issue and fix while removing my information and realizing my address on the WinAmp order is not the one I was currently trying to sign up with. I guess as long as Wizards doesn't try to snail-mail me anything we are fine. Here is my new end subscribing screen. THANK YOU I will leave this here in case anyone else runs into this issue. |
| #4WotC_EricOct 30, 2008 17:22:01 | We'll be looking into some of these issues and hopefully make improvements for the future. I'm sorry for the troubles you experienced in getting your account started. |
| #5stevanaOct 31, 2008 3:21:53 | I'm having exactly the same problem, with exactly the same response from customer services: "Thank you for your interest in Dungeons and Dragons Insider. Per your request, we have reviewed your order. Unfortunately, we are not able to complete it at this time. If you are still interested in purchasing the product(s), please place a new order using a non credit card payment method. " Not very useful...! Again, I know the card is good - I placed an order for some miniatures with another site online, just to verify that it was working okay, without any problems... I've tried using different old addresses, as that appeared to be the problem for the initial poster, but with no luck... I was also wondering if it could have been a problem with me trying to subscribe from France, but other posters have apparently had no problem subscribing from abroad... Any other suggestions...?? Not gonna be much longer before I give up... |
| #6lunistraNov 12, 2008 15:54:13 | I'm having the same issue, can't subscribe to get access, the cards wont authorise , ive tried 2 of mine, they work for everything else online just not this DDI |
| #7asmodeusloreNov 12, 2008 19:31:42 | This advice from one of the Orcs may also be useful. For issues with an account not being able to log in, your best bet is to send in an email to Customer Service (Click the Email Us tab) and then we at Customer Service will be able to better look in to the problem. In the email, please provide as much info as possible such as browser, whether you've been able to log in before, and exactly what the error message is. |
| #8stevanaNov 14, 2008 3:40:12 | This advice from one of the Orcs may also be useful. The problem is not that we can't log in, the problem is that it won't accept our cards... I've tried both my cards (which I continue to use successfully on other sites), and have even tried creating a whole new account, but still no joy... I've also tried calling CS, filing a report with them, and emailing directly... So far their 'help' has not been of any use (with suggestions like "Try using a different non-credit card payment method" and "We need more information, fill in this form" accompanied by the exact same form I just sent them)... My latest response (and as far as I'm concerned now the last, 'cos I can't be bother to try and chase this up any further) said my order had been canceled, because, either: a) I'd canceled it, which clearly I hadn't; b) An email sent to me had been blocked by a spam filter, which I checked and wasn't the case; or c) The address on my card was incorrect, which I'm sure it isn't because it's the same address I've used successfully for a number of other online purchases over the past couple of weeks... Oh well, I hope everyone else is enjoying their subscriptions...! |
| #9andysarApr 25, 2009 8:24:52 | Same problem here, same lack of useful information from digital river and wizards. Checked with my credit card company and they are not even getting a request from DR. So yeah, DR is keeping a record of past transactions and using that to verify credit card numbers. Awesome for them, they save cash. Sucks for anyone who dares to move or get a new phone. |

WotC did indicated they would try to resolve the issue with DR. There have been no updates on the issue that I have seen. |

| #12andysarApr 25, 2009 18:29:26 | Of course I have contacted CS. Where do you think I got the less than helpful information? You would be helpful if you gave a specific list of actions I could take that would guarantee my credit card would be accepted by DR. |
| #13mudbunnyApr 26, 2009 22:28:22 | Of course I have contacted CS. Where do you think I got the less than helpful information? I don't know. You never actually said. You would be surprised the number of people that have problems, come to the forums (or PM me) for help, and *haven't* actually contacted CS. You would be helpful if you gave a specific list of actions I could take that would guarantee my credit card would be accepted by DR. Unfortunately, I can't help you there. I don't work for WotC, I only volunteer for them. I will pass your problem up the line, hopefully someone can knock some heads around and get to the bottom of this. |
| #14andysarApr 27, 2009 17:18:17 | Thanks. I'm not at all optimistic, but thanks. |
| #15kausekblOct 04, 2010 20:56:01 | Yeah, I can't subscribe either. It tells me that the checkout is not available, to try again later. This is bull. The WoW magazine subscription does this for me too. >.< I'm gonna give up on being a dork and go rejoin the rest of society here soon. |
| #16mudbunnyOct 04, 2010 21:20:54 | The checkout system has apparantly crashed. WotC is investigating it. |
