| #1lhiannanApr 02, 2009 14:32:41 | My dad recently dug up this single map in a bunch of old D&D stuff. He thinks it came from a Dungeon magazine. This would be an ooooold magazine. Can anyone help me identify the magazine? |

| #3lhiannanApr 09, 2009 8:24:23 | That could explain why we can't find where it came from. Most his older Dragon mags are gone. Seems players through the years were more interested in "borrowing" them than the Dungeon mags. |

| #5PaulonApr 09, 2009 19:40:05 | I did a text string search for 'Trial of Stamina' on the Dragon Collection PDFs and didn't turn up any results. |

It seems so very familiar..... Although, on second glance, I wonder if it did come from Dungeon Mag since there is no page number / reference footnots. I am pretty sure that all of the Dungeon Mags had those. But I know they were severely lacking in editing standars way back in OD&D - so maybe this came from a module of some sort??? |

Doing a quick search, it was probably from adventure IM3 - The Best of Intentions Here is the text from the back cover: Prime immortals are dying like flies: nasty, violent deaths. The Hierarchs suspect Entropy, as usual, especially with all the rumors of demons' involvement. To top it all off, one of the Hierarchs is missing - Mazikeen. Your mission as novice Temporals, should you choose to accept it, is to find Mazikeen, uncover his kidnapper, and bring him or her to a court of Immortal Justice. This entails much more than a mere detective job - it also means taking part in the Immortal Olympics and going plane-hopping with the best (or worst?) of them. Should you not accept this mission, the fate of all Prime Plane immortals rests on your heads. (Well, it rests there anyway, but this is meant to make you more than a little guilty about not accepting - after all. you're supposed to be duty-bound and all that kind of thing, and if you don't do this, then who will? Huh? Did you ever think about that, Bucko?)" This is probably where the map is from. If I remember well, maps were often inserts found in the middle of the module that you could remove. They did not necessarily number those pages since they were meant to be taken out. |

Glancing through an index, I'd try "Experience Preferred," either part 1 or part 2 in issues 72 and 73. If I remember that adventure right, part 1 places you with the Greek pantheon, so you might have luck there. |
| #10PaulonMay 12, 2009 0:09:09 | I just ran across this map in an adventure PDF I was reading. It's from the the adventure Blood and Laurels in Module I13 - Adventure Pack 1 - TSR 9202. Hope that helps. |
| #11lhiannanMay 12, 2009 9:28:16 | I just ran across this map in an adventure PDF I was reading. Oh, that is IT!! Thank you! I even have this book in my house because I was converting the adventure Steaks to 3.5. And he had been hunting through his Dungeon mags about 10 years ago looking for Steaks and that's how I became aware of the Adventure Pack book, hehe.... Can't wait to bring it to him.Again, much thanks! Lhiannan |
