Odd, I can still access the magazines, but the compendium only lets me open the demo... apparently the character builder also just says "Download Demo".

Try loging out, clearing your cookies, and deleting your temporary internet files. After that try logging in again and see if it works.

If it doesn't try e-mailing Customer Service.

I can only access the demo version too.  I'm not sure what is wrong.  All the computers that I use are acting the same.  No flushing of the cache or deleting of cookies seems to help.

How long ago did you subscribe??

If it was only recently, it siometimes takes some time for that info from the Digital River servers to make its way to the WotC servers and for the account access to be upgraded.

I've been subscribed for 9 months or so.  I checked and I'm still current on my account.  Something is wrong with the site from what I can tell.  I've tried three different browsers and four different computers and its the same for all.

Your best bet is to contact WotC CS.

It won't let me view the complete Dragon or Dungeon issues either...

If you have just subscribed, it may take a couple of hours for access to be granted. It sometimes takes a while for the Digital River payment processing servers to contact the WotC servers and the changes to be made to your account. (This is especially true with PayPal payments.) Some other things to try to make sure that it is not something trivial on your end: (it may be something that you have tried before, but I don't know).

[*]Clear your Temporary Internet Files, History and Cache;
[*]Close all of your browser windows;
[*]Restart your browser;
[*]Log-in to DDI.

I will poke WotC and have them take a look. At the same time, iw ould also strongly recommend contacting WotC Customer Service at the link at the bottom of the page, choose the "Email Us" tab and then the proper drop-down options.

Just so everyone knows Customer Service has been looking into my problem for a couple days now.  After a series of questions that I mostly answered in my original filing they seem to beleive there is some sort of problem.  They have comfirmed that the site beleives I'm current on my account.  I've not had access for a week now.

I had to do exactly this when I subscribed.

I've been subscribed since it became a subscription fee. This just starting happening within the last week.

Its still possible that the cookies that manage your login status have been corrupted somehow.  Try the steps mudbunny recommended and let us know if it helped or not.

If it didn't, then you should definitely contact Customer Support and let them know about the issue.

I use Chrome and have never had this problem.

When I used IE8 it did tend to log me out quite often and I never figured out why. I did not try to turn on compatibility mode for IE8 however.  Perhaps you could try that if its the browser you are using.

I can still access the compendium it seems. It just says launch demo instead of launch compendium, but still brings me to the full compendium.. Weird, but it works.

Samrin,

Do you think you are getting the full compendium?  It seems to act very weird for me.  For example I can't see any Paragon paths for Wizards.  I also can't reach the Dragon or Dungeon magazines.  I suspect you are having the same problem I am having.

To those saying to clear my browser I have tried the following:

Four different browsers
Three different computers
Clearing all history, cache, cookies, autofills, etc in two browsers on two different computers

Nothing seems to work.  The Customer Service has been slow to respond.  When they do, it is with uninspiring suggestions that I told them I already tried when I logged my request for help.

In the interests of fairness, last night late in the night, I seemed to be able to once again access the Dungeon and Dragon magazine content.  I still see demo mode for launching the Compendium, but something still seems different about it.  I know I've used certain filter combinations to get at data that no longer come up with anything.  I can't tell if part of the data isn't visible to me or if they have simply changed how some of the filters are working.  All in all this is a strange bunch of behaivor.  I've only tried one browser and one computer at this point.

Well, I will admit that the Compendium is not very user friendly or intuitive.  It's clunky at best.  That aspect of it can make it very difficult to use.  I am not saying that is what you are experiencing, but just adding that to the mix in case "the powers that be" read this thread.

I think there's just some instability in the system right now. It's giving me occasional hiccups, albeit of the sort that I can solve by clearing cookies and relogging. I've seen this sort of glitchiness come and go every once in a while.

However, one thing does come to mind: if you've got anything running that tries to enforce privacy/anonymity (some browser settings, some browser plugins, and even some AV/firewall suites), they may be interfering with your login. It's uncommon but I've seen it happen, especially if you're using extremely strict settings.
