Hi!

I'm a subscriber from the first day of D&Di and on automatic renewal. Whenever I try to activate the full version of Character Builder I get the message that I have no rights and should subscribe.

I tried mailing but there was no answer. I tried to use the help system but can't open it due to some "technical error". What should I do?

I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think there is an "activation". When you want to upgrade your character builder to the latest version you have to enter the same credentials as you use to log into D&DI on this website when about to download the update. This is when you're subscription is verified. There is no "activation".

I can't download the update as I have no permission to access it. I can normally access Dungeon & Dragon magazines and other D&Di stuff but can't update..

Your user name (or whatever they labeled the first field) it asks for is the email address you use for DDI. The password is the password you use to log into DDI.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same problem.
I subscribed to DDI earlier today and have not yet been able to download the update to the Character Builder.

When I enter my password into the updater I get a screen that says "Login Failed You do not have access to this application."

I am certain that it is not an error in my password or login entry because when I enter a deliberately wrong password I get a screen that says "Login Failed User name or password is incorrect."

I also just subscribed and can't update my character builder or read the magazine articles that require a subscription. My credit card was billed already though. Nice to see something works properly in the subscription process.

You all may want to contact customer support. (I find that clicking the Help link in the sidebar from the main D&D page gets me there better than the link at the top of this page) rather than posting in the forums then.

One thing I found out the hard way, though, user name means email address. So in the first field, put in your email address that you signed up with .
