| #1CastlemasterMar 27, 2011 7:41:27 | So I'm really trying to understand why the new online monster builder's idea of "customization" is changing the level and names of abilities. The offline builder allowed full customization which was the best use of it. I sincerely hope wizards is going to make us able to create and edit monsters the same way we can in the offline builder. Without that, it is pretty much just an index rather than a tool. |

It's weird that the older, offline programs would have more features and usability than their newer, online counterparts... |

What's really funny is the Beta testers TOLD them not to release it in this state and they did it again (remember the OCB)... |

This is the reason they still have the offline one available for DL. It will probably be available till the new one can do all the things the old one does. Keep doing your good work, Wizards. People will always find a reason to complain. If they really were mad about it, they'd cancel their subscriptions. |

The problem is they've stopped supporting the old monster builder. It's no longer getting anything so when new content is released, we either don't get to use it or have to use the no-functioning online builder. Yes, people complain a lot but sometimes they have every eason to. What amazes me are the people that are congratulating them on their good work, the cynic in me is thinking they're employees... |

Just search for posts and if they don't have a post history, then you may be right... Either that or they are a noob and haven't realized you get better functionality from the online compendium than the monster builder... |

But I do belive that being a subscriber for two years and having the feeling of being constant letdown and in fact lied to by WOTC gives me the right to complain of the current direction of DDI. |
