Can't Buy Ritual Books

I have a level 5 human cleric that I've created for an upcoming convention game and I can't seem to buy ritual books for him beyond the Gentle Repose + 1 choice that I get to start. Any idea why that might be? He's got 320gp left, so it's not that he can't afford them, but all Ritual Scrolls and Books have their buy/add buttons greyed out.

Jan 18, 2010 13:51:49 Odd. When I deleted his ritual book and added another one it activated the buttons again.

Jan 19, 2010 13:53:08 I've noticed sometimes if I switch characters, sometimes the buy book or scroll option is not available, until I close and reopen the program.

Jan 26, 2010 11:27:32 I have had this problem in the past too and found the solution. You must have sufficient gold 'carried' as opposed to 'stored' to either 'buy' or 'add' a ritual.

Jan 27, 2010 2:55:29 Had a similar issue a couple days ago. Looked at my gold and found that, somehow, through my fidgeting I'd managed to attain a large negative money value stored. I think the money section of the program may need a tweak or two.

Jan 29, 2010 19:08:51 I just tested this. It seems if you have little or no money, the system will let you buy any item on the list...once. It will credit your account for the full amount and give you 'negative gold'.

Once you have negative gold, you cannot 'buy' anymore but you can still 'add'.

It seems the phrase "insufficient funds" is not in the CB. Only, Buy/Add or Add only.
