Can't download issue 156

Aug 03, 2008 17:24:45 Anyone else unable to download the latest dungeon?

It starts downloading for a while and then it just stops (and of course the download doesn't support the download resumption option of most download managers).

I have tried it at least a dozend times and best I got was 98% (man I was #### when it broke at 98%), usually it stops much earlier between 3x% and 5x%

Aug 03, 2008 23:45:38 I just tried and got a "This File is Damaged" message from Adobe. Let's try again tomorrow. Maybe it'll be sorted out and ready to go Monday.

I had an issue downloading the files using Firefox - but it went OK with IE. (This was yesterday.) BTW Firefox now has captured about 20% of the market. So it might be a good idea to test stuff in both browsers. (I know if I write a web site, it better work in both.)

I'm downloading it now. My question is: Why so big? This one is 75mb, last month it was only 10mb or so.

It appears to be the use of (MUCH!) higher-quality images that's inflating the file size.

Firefox is generally 15-20% across the board. I am happy to see it has gotten this high though.
