I get that as a company you don't want to put yourself in an unrealistic position, but communication is important and I hope someone over there realizes that. Sadly, I don't think my request will get any response. |

At this point, I still don't have a date for you, and I'm not going to make a prediction. As soon as I have some solid information I'll be back in to let you know. |
| #3BohrdumbMar 21, 2011 12:08:10 | Great, now if I could get someone to bake me a humble pie, I would have something to eat for lunch. I appreciate the response Trevor. |

| #5SamrinMar 21, 2011 15:46:56 | I'd also like some news on when we'll see some actual magazine content this month. 3 weeks in now... |
| #6LordEntrailsMar 21, 2011 16:01:03 | Sorry Trevor, how can you not have a release schedule? You guys are supposed to be a professional software development group for a company, not some open source project. I'm disillusioned... |

You guys are supposed to be a professional software development group for a company, not some open source project. I'm disillusioned... They are a professional software development group. They are just a professional software development group that misses a lot of deadlines so they don’t like to talk about them too much. |
| #8drnickMar 21, 2011 18:17:02 | I haven't met a professional software development group that didn't miss deadlines. I'm sure they exist... in some ideal universe of comprised of 1s and 0s. |

But (and this is a big but), DDi deadlines are slipping now, more than ever before. To the point where a daily (even weekly) deadline is almost meaningless. Monthly deadlines even fall by the wayside with too much regularity. So sure. I give them some slack compared to the general tone of this board, but come on. They really need to get in the habit of completing projects (internally) before announcing the deadline publically. I cancelled my sub last month, and I really want to resubscribe... just looking for an excuse. A series of accomplishments (i.e. hitting deadlines, return functionality to CB, etc.) would go a long way toward giving me that excuse. (In know much of this is already being addressed internally). @Trevor, I really appreciate your stopping in here to keep us all informed, even when you bring "bad" news. It prevents nagging questions from turning into raving lunacy. In my mind. Thanks. |
| #10lokiareMar 24, 2011 13:43:41 | Is there a way we can get a "It won't be out til after" date? You know the minimum amount of time it will be out? Mainly we want to know if we gotta wait more than a month or whatever... |
