Can you un-update?

Oct 18, 2010 18:52:54 I think I may be glad that I have not updated my Character Builder after hearing of some of the problems from the most recent update. Although it is sorely missing content from Psionic Power and Dark Sun, it works great right now.

The problem is the Monster Builder, since the MM3 update there is important information missing from the stat blocks. I own a copy of MM3 and like the new stat block configuration, but I would probably prefer the earlier version.

If I could un-update my Monster Builder, I would have two better working tools until everything gets sorted out. It is definitely usable now, but I really have to look over the stat blocks for missing information.

(Staying optimistic that everything will get sorted out eventually.)

Oct 18, 2010 19:04:06 Not that this helps you but I intentionally did not update this month in case Wizards snuck some extra code into the CB that prevents it from being used off-line or without an active subscription at some unspecified future date.

Paranoid? Maybe, but the CB works fine for me now and I do not want to risk a potential blockage when my subscription expires next month.

If and When they ever implement Essentials into the CB I will reconsider.

Oct 19, 2010 14:49:21 You could back up your folders and roll back to the back up if you have trouble with the current version. Not optimal, I know, but it should work.
