Cannot retrain level 1 feat

Apr 02, 2010 17:16:59 When turning level 7, my cleric with Warrior of the Wild feat (level1) cannot retrain it. Warrior of the Wild does not show up on the list of feats in the retraining window. This might be an issue because I chose Perception as the class skill to get with that feat and Perception is not a cleric skill.

I also took Skill Focus: Perception at level 2. Is that maybe confusing the CB?

edit: Even if I train away Skill Focus, I still do not see WotW in the feat list to retrain away.

Apr 02, 2010 18:39:01 You can't retrain anything away if it's a prerequisite for something else. Having WotW gets you Perception, and you need training in Perception to take Skill Focus: Perception, so you can't retrain it away.

You can only retrain away one thing per level, so if you retrain Skill Focus: Perception, you'll have to wait until next level to retrain WotW.

Apr 03, 2010 17:05:20 I retrained Skill Focus out at level 7. Then I levelled him up to 8. WotW still not available to be retrained.

I wish I could upload his CB file for someone to take a look at.

Apr 03, 2010 19:07:32 I found the problem. I had the Novice Power feat. Retraining that let me then retrain WotW even though I still has Skill Focus (Perception).
