Caustic Gauntlets - Missing in Character Builder

Apr 21, 2010 9:09:36 Hey all, very quick question here:

I can't find Caustic Gauntlets (from Adventurer's Vault) in the Character Builder anywhere. Am I just being dumb or are they actually missing? I'd be quite surprised by the latter, given how long they book has been out.

Apr 21, 2010 10:12:26 I can find them just fine under "hands slot items". Are you sure you are using the latest version?

Apr 21, 2010 13:05:57 Very weird. I have the latest update, and when I've tried to give the gauntlets to another character, they're right there. It's only one character that seems to be missing entries on the equipment list. Something I've done so - thanks for the help.

Edit: And having checked yet again, the gloves and a lot of other equipment are now coming up under "Illegal Elements." I'm not missing something basic like Tiefling Rangers not being allowed to take Gauntlets, am I? This is the only character that I've given a piece of homemade equipment as well, if that makes any odds.

No, race or class generally impose no such limits on item choice.

You could try looking at "Campaign Settings" under the "Manage" tab and make sure that the relevant book(s) haven't been unchecked there. If that's not the problem, I don't know what might be going on either.
