Tried creating a Dwarf Warden earlier tonight, and noticed that the +2 to Perception skill granted by the Alertness feat wasn't being applied in the Skills tab.

You'll need to report this bug to Customer Service.

Perhaps this is related to the errata:

Alertness
Page 193: The feat’s Benefit entry was revised soyou can’t be surprised instead of preventing you fromgranting combat advantage for being surprised.

Benefit: You cannot be surprised.

The errata in the benefit doesn't mention any skill bonus.  I thought that the change in the CB was intended.

Though the description of the change doesn't say why they removed the perception bonus, just that the surprised part was changed.  Very curious.

Huh. I missed the errata, but the Feat's description in the CB still notes that it gives a +2 to Perception. If the errata has removed that bonus, that's fine, but they should update the Feat entry to reflect that.

I'd probably end up choosing another feat instead though.

Not being surprised is quite useful though because that means you always get an action in the surprise round (if there is one).  Certainly much better than not granting combat advantage.

The version of this feat in Heroes of the Fallen Lands retains the Perception bonus – it'd be very strange if they actively errata'd the PHB version to be outright worse. (I suppose they could, in theory, be intending to errata the HotFL Alertness as well, but that too strikes me as unlikely.)

My guess is a bug implementing the change. They accidentally cleared some of the effect while changing it. Assuming the bug has been reported maybe it'll be fixed in the November update?
