| #1cuzinloxFeb 24, 2011 8:34:29 | Can the CB handle house rules like the following: Use a 24 point buy instead of 20. Assign a bonus skill. If so, how does one do it? I haven't found any way to modify its standard settings. Thanks Chris First |
| #2thespaceinvaderFeb 24, 2011 9:13:21 | No, it can't. |
| #3cuzinloxFeb 24, 2011 12:28:19 | Thanks. That what I thought. "You can customize your character any way you want as long as it follows OUR rules." CB is looking much less useful now. |
| #4melloredFeb 24, 2011 12:55:35 | You can use other point buys. It'll just give you a houseruled symbol. You can also use the builder to build most of it, skip anything removed, and simply use a pen to write any bonus. Also, other things will probably be added "soon" (custom items are next on the list). |
| #5SamrinFeb 24, 2011 14:48:44 | Thanks. If you spend more than 22 points, it'll give you a negative value. So, -3 on your points would = 25 point buy. It'll say houseruled, but it's not hard to figure out. |
| #6curiousdragonFeb 24, 2011 21:37:03 | You can houserule certain feats, by taking them when you meet the requirements, then later on change the requirements you had. The feat will still be there but marked "House ruled". If you want extra feats (alot of campaigns I know add free expertise, etc.), then just omit a feat that has no mathematical effect on your character (and is not a pre-req). Pencil it in later. As long as you know what it is and what it does...its not a problem. |

The CB should know my thoughts when I click a button and make the exact character I want and then create a fiber carbon printout via laser beams! I don't want to hear anymore of this outdated pencil crap!!!111eleleventybillion11111!! |

| #10OrdosManipulatorMar 02, 2011 14:11:22 | I have been able to add bonus skills/feats by creating a houseruled character in the old character builder and importing them. Unfortunately, this only works for options available in the old character builder but that should cover the majority of options. |

Unfortunately, this only works for options available in the old character builder but that should cover the majority of options. still, unless you need something that is only in the online CB, why not just do it completely in the offline one then? It's a workaround, but it's incredibly clunky and inefficient. |
| #12melloredMar 04, 2011 10:37:48 | I find penclies / pen's to be much less clunky for adding custom feats/items. |

To be sure its a clunky workaround but its something to use until the online CB is further updated and improved. The old CB is becoming more and more outdated and there are alot of options, even between level 1-5, that I would take an option that is not available in the old CB. |
