CB Houserules, no sheet influence?

Am I right in assuming none of the houserule feats, powers that you can add to the CB will ever have any character sheet influence?

For example, we have a Paladin, that wears leather and cloth (due to his order) and we have a feat called Divine Protection, that allows members of his order to use either their Charisma or Wisdom modifier as a bonus to AC when in leather or cloth (no no) armor.

Similar I think to a few other classes.

Anyway, we added the feat, but we see no way to get that to apply to the sheet.

Suggestions?

We thought about giving him some ungodly (pun intended) high bonus magic armor to get the AC at the right spot, but I'd hate to do that...

I wouldn't say 'ever', but I'd be willing to bet houserules support is pretty low on WotC's list of priorities.  At this point, your best bet is probably just using liquid paper or something and pencilling in the AC bonus.

Here is what I ended up doing.

I added +4 magic leather to his character (+4 AC WIS)

I then customized the armor, to remove the plus in the name, and simply called it Leather Armor

This then adds the same bonus that a swordmage gets to my cloth|leather divine shield paladin

For now, it works.

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but i've always gotten the impression that the lack of support for houserules and customization was intentional, not a reflection of where it ranks on their to-do lists.

If they open up the doors for customization, they open up the doors for those people who would halt their subscriptions and input all of their content by hand.  I imagine (perhaps incorrectly) that if there is a plan to allow more customization, a great deal of discussion is going on regarding just how to do it without affecting subscription rates.

I hope they do allow for customization at some point, but I half expect them not to ever offer anything much more robust than what they already provide.

It is true that the feat you created in the feats section will not effect the actual Character Sheet but you can still do what you want to do. The best way to do this is to open the Chacater sheet and click on the AC total (the one in the circle) this number is actually editable, when you change the number from 20 to 24 it will add 4 to the far right Misc field.

This way when your Paladin gets real magical leather armor it will have the armor's enhancement bonus as well as your bonus AC.  You just need to remember to increase the bonus AC when your Wis mod goes up.

Hum, good to know, I was not aware of this.  Thanks for the info.
