At least we know something now.

community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/758...

Doesn't mention the mage getting fixed, though.

Or any weapon - as - implement fixes other than daggers for sorcerers. So swordmage implement powers are still broken, then?

These should be simple fixes. If stuff like this doesn't get fixed, I still can't make my pyromancer without using dbme's workaround. Which is a pain.

About freaking time.  It only took these paid professionals two weeks longer than amateur volunteers from the community with no prior knowledge of the functioning of the program took to update the CBC.  Swift.

Maybe someone will update the damn known issues list at the same time...

Seriously - I had patience two weeks ago.  As time has gone on (and on, and on, and on, and on) it's evaporated.  Who knows if I'll find out whether this actually worked or not any time soon, because I'll be heading out for Christmas before then.

If this had happened sooner, WOTC might have kept my sub for another month.  Hey, maybe I'll check back in sometime in the new year and see if things have improved.

I didn't notice inherent bonuses in there, either. Did I just overlook it?

Hm. Doesn't appear so - but that could just mean it's not mentioned, rather than not fixed (however, the Arena Training bug wouldn't strike me, personally, as more prominent than the inherent bonus thing Smile ).

I kind of liked the copy&paste text export block from the old CB... I know it was heavily utilized.  Doesn't necessarily look like that is coming back with this release, but a CB file.

I doubt that they wouldn't report it if they fixed it. Just be patient they'll get it up to the CBC standard "Soon"....

Glad to hear this.

Hope many bugs get fixed, and all of HoTFK makes its way in....

I'm very pleased we're getting fixes and I hope that they update the capitalization issues on some equipment and fix the multiclass power swap problem.

Thank you, DDi team!  I know it's a busy time of year but we're counting on your success with the CB!

It boggles my mind that they are adding new source books, when it currently doesn't fully/correctly support the source books it already includes. For instance, there are Rogue utility powers from Heroes of the Fallen Lands that the Character Builder doesn't give the option to select. At this point, I would prefer that the concentrate on making the Character Builder work properly, add the features back in so that it works like the offline Character Builder did, and making it support completely the source books already included.

Hey, I finally get to do my cha/con dragonborn properly...  some of us do look for the new content, along with the bug/feature fixes.

It doesn't look like we'll get the two main things I want: inherent bonuses and/or the boons from the Dark Sun Campaign guide (or boons of any sort besides Divine ones, for that matter).

Dark Sun players get the shaft for the fourth month and counting...

I would be happy if I could just get my old character sheet style back

Oh and all the correct information for my level 13 Rogue/Sorcerer. What is funny, is that much of the information is just not on the character sheet or is invalid - if I missed a gaming session and someone else had to cover for me, I would arrive the following week with a dead character.. The data is just not there.

So here is fingers crossed...

I'm curious to see if the exported files from the OCB will load into the offline viewer from the CBC.
Then I could load new chars into the old char sheet.

Good thought!  Nice to hear some positive speculation for a change!

Won't update till around 9am PST, at the earliest. Which is when they open. Typical for update day.

My predication is they will load just fine, but anything not present in the old CB will not show any text other than the title.

I guess we'll know shortly (in a couple of hours or so).

I don't see that Export button WotC_Trevor noted in a separate thread. Are you sure the update is really live? How can one even tell?

On the home screen, at the bottom, it should read Version=0.1.183.0

The Export button is in the Load screen, you need to select a character to enable it.

You can tell because by new material and fixed bugs (like the mage at-wills) ;P As for the export button - it's on the character load screen. If it doesn't show for you then perhaps your browser is using cached version of the application?

Forget my last post - I found it. BTW, it exports as a .dnd4e file if anyone is curious.

Oh - I expected to see that after finishing a character and clicking on Save. That's why I missed it.

Sadly, they just seem to crash.  Would have been a really great idea.

That's too bad.  Worth a shot though, thanks for trying it.  I'm stuck at work and can't play around in the system until this evening.

The Known Issues list is updated too.  Still a LONG list though

I will poke and see if they would be willing to share a list of the bugs that they fixed this go-round. (make no promises, blahblahblah, yaddayaddayadda)

Well, it's official: with the newest update, it almost works now! It's fantastic, the CB almost works as well as the one they scrapped to make this new online version! It's almost like progress! I mean, it's not progress yet, but simply the fact that it almost works is enough to delight my lowered expectations!

With the Dark Sun and Essentials material (with some flaws) added, it has some more points.
